Project 47 Smokehouse is located in Mahomet, IL right off of Interstate 74 and Route 47. We smoke a variety of meats in-house. Our menu also features our famous smash burgers as well as flatbreads. We make six different BBQ sauces, or horsey sauce and our own hot buffalo sauce. Our restaurant features a full bar, including 12 beers on tap, a variety of whiskeys and bourbons, along with domestics and craft beers. You can sit inside or on one of our two outdoor patios.

I hadn’t had BBQ for some time, I go there and get a damn burger! I did, however, bring home wings. I didn’t eat them fresh because I ate them later, they were good! Could taste the smoke, and they tossed a Buffalo sauce on them as well. The burger was good, it had everything on it, no tomatoes though, because they are disgusting. The fries were fried almost perfect and have a coating on them that made them tasty. Our waitress was really nice too, checked on us regularly. I think they could use condiments on the table, and prices on the menu, that’s about it. Overall I’ll be back to try the BBQ.

Enjoyed. Highly recommend. Nice neighborhood gastropub. Good music on. Liked the big corner booth where the whole family can pike in. The servers were very attentive. The brisket is tasty. Smoked wings excellent. Like the house BBQ sauce. The fries and tots are seasoned. Cole slaw was creamy kind, corn bread is a muffin. Needs a little sugar. 😉 many signature drinks and variety of beers on tap.

BEST baby back ribs I’ve had in a long time! I’ve had ribs in KC, Denver, Tampa, Omaha, etc and Project 47 ribs are definitely in my top 2 or 3. Original BBQ sauce is the way to go. Great place for those traveling with a dog because they let us sit outside with her. Great stop after 12 hours of driving! Try it, you won’t regret it.

I stopped at Project 47 Smokehouse when passing through Mohomet, IL.
I had brisket, pulled pork & sausage which were all great. Also tried the pork rinds with horsey sauce, also pretty good. The staff was very friendly and attentive, my order was brought out quickly, no complaints here.
I will stop again when I’m back in the area.
