If you’re anywhere near them, make a point to stop in and treat your taste buds to an amazing pizza!
Really nice atmosphere, we came here Halloween time so the place was decorated nicely and they were playing Halloween music! Meatball dish was great. However, the pizza was not as good as expected. The cheese did not taste as well as other local pizza restaurants. Would definitely come back for the appetizers and maybe try out the desserts. But not so sure about the pizza…
They’ve got both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is covered and just charming—perfect for a laid-back evening. Plus, it’s right next to the historic Priest Theater in High Springs, so you’re basically surrounded by that local charm. And if you’re in the mood for a drink, there’s a brewery right next door—so you can grab a pizza and then stroll over for a brew. Everything’s super walkable and convenient.
In short, the food was amazing, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience was just fantastic. Five stars all around!
Prohibition Pizza servers D E L I C I O U S pizza. It’s SO good I would honestly consider driving two and a half hours just to get said pizza.
Tried one of their specialty pizzas, The Underground, and it was fantastic. Fresh arugula to top off and a balsamic drizzle. The next day, on my way back from my camping trip, made sure to get another pizza for the way home. Built my own and still so happy with the turn out.
I swear, it’s their dough or something. I can’t stop thinking about how good it is, haha.
They have regular, large, and extra large portions. A great variety of options plus desserts as well. They’re right across a brewery too so you could order the pizza to go then grab a brewski.
**Worth the trip from Gainesville every time!**
We made the drive out to Prohibition Pizza and it was beyond worth it. The food is incredibly fresh—you can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are spot on. The crust was perfectly crisp, and every topping tasted like it was prepared just for us. You don’t always expect this level of quality at a pizza place, but Prohibition absolutely delivers. We’ll definitely be back again soon!
