I loved Hunts! In the 1950’s and 1960’s Grandma and Grandpa would take us to the drive in and we would order and eat in car. WAS HEAVEN!

I like Proctor Hospital, I have only been to the Midwest Ortho wing, so all my comments are about them. Overall, the Nurses and Supporting staff were awesome. They took care of all my needs, answered my questions, and even tried to laugh at my comments.
The Doctor did a great job being professional and direct at answering my questions. That is what I NEED in a Doctor. I’m not diminishing the nurses professionalism, they were excellent at creating a warm atmosphere for me.
The food only got a 4 star because it was a wrapped blueberry muffin and drink. At the time, it was what I needed, and I was very thankful for it.

This little snack shop is located just off the main lobby of the hospital. It is run by the “pink ladies” who volunteer at the hospital. They are known for having the original recipe to the famous Hunt’s Restaurant ice cream sodas. Hunt’s is long gone but their amazing ice cream sodas live on here. Chocolate, strawberry or my favorite, vanilla! Give them all a try!
Tips: Cash only but there is an ATM down the hall. They are only open until 3 pm during the week. Be patient! The sodas require a lot of heavy stirring to make them perfectly. :).
