We ordered Food To-Go : Just one Chicken Biryani, Goat Biryani, Naans, and Chicken Majestic. We also asked for salan, but were told it’s not available. We only received a few raithas.

Coming to the main review:
Honestly, I didn’t like the food at all. You can see from the pictures. Who puts so many onions and lemon slices on top of a biryani? The taste itself wasn’t great, and adding that many onions only made it worse.

A small suggestion to the Priya Restaurant team: please pack onions or salads separately in a side box. What if a customer doesn’t eat onions? They also get soggy when placed directly over hot food.

Also, who puts a full big cinnamon stick inside the biryani box? Cinnamon is for adding flavor while cooking, not to be packed with the final dish.

Quantity felt quite less compared to other nearby restaurants, though, to be fair, the price is also slightly lower. Still, the portion sizes could be improved.

The Chicken Majestic was a disappointment. Last time, when we came to your restaurant for a birthday event, it was absolutely delicious like one of the best! But this time, it didn’t taste like Chicken Majestic at all. It seemed just sautéed and packed quickly. We didn’t enjoy it.

The Naans were also burned on the back.

We received a small dessert (Mango Phirni, like a rice pudding),maybe as a complimentary item but unfortunately, that also didn’t taste good.

I don’t mean to sound harsh, but I believe honest feedback helps improve things.

The only thing I truly liked was the Raitha, it was really good!

I’m giving 2 stars mainly because I’ve had a great experience with your buffet before. I visited last year around Thanksgiving and loved it. I really hope it’s still that good, because my expectations dropped after this order.

Hope you guys get things back on track soon so I can give you a better review next time!

Had a lunch for 2 on friday afternoon. The lunch special was definitely worth a try, and generously-sized with a taste of homemade, clean cooking. Ordered a thali and mysore masala dosa.. Butter rotis/Paneer/dal/dosa/sambar – everything was great!!
A clean place, good ambiance.
The lunch buffet is only available on Sat & Sun (12 pm to 3:30 pm)

Tried their buffet on the weekend, and the food is good. Their chicken biryani is very mild, tasty, and stands out from other places.

Edit: We catered from them for my brother’s wedding, and all the guests loved the dishes. Best authentic chicken biryani I ate at any restaurant.

Really great food and amazing quality too. I absolutely loved the shrimp fried rice. It literally tastes like mumbai chinese. The wait was about 15 mins, so perfectly fine. Their butter chicken was very well done given it was prepared with cashew allergy informed. Overall, amazing taste and service!

We highly recommend Priya’s Indian Restaurant in Lowell.

We just went for the first time. We had their buffet lunch. We loved it.

FOOD:
* All the food in the buffet was hot and tasty
* Excellent variety.
* Favorites were:

Goat Biryani
Chicken Tikka Masala
Tandoori Chicken
Veggie Biryani
Potatos & Peas
Chick Peas
Vegetable pancakes
Mango Yogurt drink
Mango Cream dessert

SERVICE:
* Excellent. They have a large dining room and the tables are all along the walls. So staff can see every table well. If you raise your hand someone will be there immediately. The manager came by to make sure everything was good.

VALUE:
* We had about 10 items each. Entrees, side dishes, appetizers, desserts. $60 total for 2 people, including 1 yogurt drink, tax and 20% tip. We think that is good value.
* Parking was free, right in front.

Thank you Manager Victor. It was a great buffet lunch and we will come back.

Food is fine here but the manager during the day shift today was extremely rude when my parents went to get information about venue and cost. If you are looking to have an event here, I would stay away. Manager has 0 customer service skills or how to interact with customers. He became personal with his attacks when they simply came for pricing and costs.

Writing a review for Priya lunch buffet because I don’t see any recent reviews for it.
As soon as you enter this restaurant you can tell that there are a lot of options waiting for you. I was seated fairly quickly because I got there early after the buffet started. For a buffet with the price I paid, I am giving this 5 stars. The options are plenty for vegetarians and non veg diets. From chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, fish curry, goat curry to butter paneer and vegetable biryani. You can definitely hit your protein goal here. The staff is very attentive and would refill our water before it even ran out. The place is clean and open. It is in a basement so there is a lack of ventilation but, I took off only one star in the atmosphere category because of that. There were three dessert options which were traditional and also flan if you want something different. Overall a really good experience with great staff and good food. The buffet is weekends only I believe but they don’t make you feel rushed.
