Unpretentious restaurant with North & South Indian plates, plus an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet.

We stopped by Priya Indian Cuisine in Springfield on our drive back from Buffalo, NY to Boston, taking a small detour to find a good Indian meal and it was worth it!!
The restaurant is spacious (can easily seat well over 100 people) and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The buffet offered a large number of vegetarian options alongside few non-veg dishes, all seem fresh and well-prepared.
Highlights for us (vegetarian) were the Ragada, Dahi Vada, which are rarely on buffet list. Friendly service and authentic flavors made this a great stop on our trip!

My vegetarian daughter booked this place for her graduation celebration cum last dinner before leaving college to head home. This restaurant is part of a convention center, which means it’s very, very big, and pristinely maintained. Our waiter was a cheerful man from Mumbai who kept a close eye to all of our needs. While all hungry and in celebratory mood, we ordered a lot of food and drinks. Free papadam and chutneys were offered as we sat down. Since this restaurant is more southern flavored, dosa, khorma and seafood medley coconut are must-try then. The dosa was the first to turn up – it was the biggest I’d ever seen, and came with coconut chutney and a masala sauce. Paneer butter masala is my daughter’s favorite dish – she’d order it both at home and at Indian restaurants :-). Everything tasted absolutely delicious, with the right spiciness for this family of high tolerance for hot pepper. With two appetizers (dosa and veggie platter) three curries, one briyani, one order of naan, and 4 drinks, the bill came to equal the street hawker food we had at a Taiwanese restaurant in Northampton the previous evening. Great value for superb taste – a stellar experience!

Absolutely delicious! You can taste the love in their cooking. Panner Butter Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala, tremendous flavor. Samosa hits. And the basmati rice is so soft and pillowy – perfectly cooked.
Handled with care. Thank you Priya!

Very good Indian Cuisine. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Butter chicken was awesome. Tandor chicken very good, not dry like most places. Crispy Eggplant I loved. Great decoration and pictures.

I’ve never ordered off the menu, but the buffet is excellent. There’s always a good crowd so the food stays fresh, the items rotate it’s never the ‘same old’ things, there are options (clearly labelled) with an actual spice you don’t always find at americanized places, and the servers never let your drink get low. They have capacity for large crowds but it doesn’t feel too big. At least half the customers at any given time are south Asian, that should count for more than anyone’s review. This is the best Indian buffet in Western MA, I drive down from Vermont just to eat here. Price is fair for 2025

We have been loyal customers at Priya for about 7 years . We go there at least once a month with my family of six and we sit at the same table every time . Regulars .
We noticed the last two times that the bill gets higher . When I asked if the buffet pricing had changed , they said it’s always half price for 9 and under . I told the man that the past two times my 8 year old , who eats 4 naans and some pudding , has been charged as an adult , including today’s bill .
He said that next time to bring ID for the 8 year old . Say what ? She’s 8. What ID would anyone here possibly have for an 8 year old I asked . He said any ID . I told him she’s too young to have an ID . What ID would he like me to bring just to honor the 50% off ? Mind you – we have been paying for 6 adults the past couple of times for my 12,11, and 10 year old . No beef there , it’s 9 and under . I have an 8 year old who barely eats . No apology was given . He said “ she looks tall so full price .” What ? I told him if I had to bring a birth certificate in as that’s the only ID I have for all kids . He said yes , birth certificate . Are you kidding me ? I’ve been bringing my family there for years and there was no accountability . It’s a shame because the food is great , but if you have poor customer service , you will lose customers just like us . He could have apologized , or even honored the 50%, for our little one . Nothing . 20 bucks a head here with poor customer service if you ask questions they don’t like .

I’ve been ordering take out from here for the last 6 months or so. I have zero complaints. The food is always piping hot and absolutely amazing. I will say that my last batch of Biryani was particularly heavily spiced with something but it was still very good.
I regularly get the chicken vindaloo, chicken tika sag, chicken majestic appetizer, medley biryani, all fantastic.
Indian food just makes my feel SO GOOD! God I love this place. So underrated.

Very attentive and professional waiter. Was very nice in answering questions. The food was excellent and came out quickly. I had lamb kadai, garlic nan, and an Australian Shiraz.

I would like to say that the food and service is extraordinary. But allow me to elaborate. The ambient is too dark, with dark red on walls and chairs. The music, although regional from India, it is too loud and old.
2 tip to improve: the entrance came with 3 cups with sauce and 2 half leaf bread. You will waste all that, so make the portion proportional.
2. Should have portions for one person.
3. Remove the “meal tax” of 0.75% what is that for anyways? And remove the 15% upcharge for groups, or people won’t come.
We pay attention to details.
Would I come back?
Yes, with my wife only, not in a group.

We went on a Monday evening with a mission to destroy our stomachs with spices. It was not very crowded when we arrived (6 pm) but the dining area was surprisingly spacious and had a nice decor. The menu was large and had various curries with different choices of protein (lamb, chicken, seafood), a tandoori section, and a big selection of different breads. The prices were a little high compared to other Indian restaurants I’ve been to, with most curry entrees between $14-16.
We had the vegetable samosas as an appetizer, which were good. For dinner I and my other both got different curries. I was surprised at the large portion size, I couldn’t finish mine. but it tasted great. The plain nan was great too.
One of my complaints is that the wait service was horribly slow. There seemed to be only 1 actual waiter, while 2 or 3 other people seemed to rotate between cooking and waiting tables. Also, don’t order the “onion salad” because it’s just a plate of sliced onions.
