We ate here after visiting the Essex steam train. It’s in a great location and wasn’t too difficult to find parking despite being summer.
The owner was incredibly friendly! He told us if we sat at the far picnic table outside, we’d get a view of the river. It was beautiful!
We ordered two large pizzas – one pepperoni and one cheese. Both were delicious. Nice crispy crust, sauce that was the perfect amount of sweet and savory, and good amount of cheese.
Definitely recommend!

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I ordered a sausage sandwich and a pepperoni pizza. The sandwich was excellent, great flavor, and beautifully done. The pizza was very good, a nice crust and tasty sauce. And the two people working were like icing on the cake. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting. This was a wonderful experience. On a scale from 0-10, I would rate this 9.0.

A gem in this pretty town! Ordered white clam pizza and cheese pizza. Pizza’s crust was thin and fragrant. Both pizzas were fantastic. Cheese pizza was not too salty and tasted just perfect. White clam pizza was just so good too. Staff were also friendly and setting was very casual. Hope to be back!

Great thin crust pizza ! Will definitely be coming here again soon. The crust is crispy and delicious. Great customer service too! I had my phone out to take these pictures and accidentally left my phone outside on the picnic table. I felt very lucky when a nice guy answered when I called my number and said they found my phone. They even put it on a charger. Thank you very much!!

I’m not trying to make this a negative review, but sadly the pizza is just not good. If you’re a Dave Portnoy fan, he would not like it here cause it’s “flop city”. The workers were really nice and friendly, pizza was ready on time, and the crust itself was amazing. Sadly though the middle of the pizza was just grease and soggy. They don’t use the cuppy pepperoni like pepes does. The price at $23 a tad steep,but it is essex and it’s a true large. If you do go definitely ask for it well done.
