Prince St. Pizza opened its doors in 2012 in New York City. Our recipes have been in the Morano Family for generations and stem from a simple idea “if you can put it on pasta you can put it on pizza.” Since then, Prince St. has made a name for itself as a premium pizzeria across New York, Miami and California, serving legendary Sicilian “SoHo” Squares and original Neapolitan pizzas with a New York City slice shop experience.

Prince Street Pizza Is OK, but the Hype Is Overbaked – D Magazine
Reviews
I tried both the regular slice and the deep dish. The regular slice was fine, but it lacked salt and came across a bit flat. Compared to Joe’s Pizza in New York City, it didn’t stand out as exceptional or particularly memorable.
The deep dish was okay—filling, but noticeably greasy. Some people may enjoy that style, but for me it leaned more toward heavy than indulgent.
Service was acceptable but nothing special. The staff wasn’t unfriendly, just not especially welcoming. The overall experience felt slightly disorganized, which took away from the flow of ordering and pickup.
The pricing is hard to justify. Paying around $21 for three slices feels expensive given the quality and portion relative to other solid pizza options in Dallas. You’re paying a premium for the name more than the execution.
One bright spot is their custom white dipping sauce, which is genuinely good and adds something extra to the pizza. Still, even with that, there are better choices in the area that offer more balance, consistency, and value.
Overall, Prince Street Pizza Dallas is okay. Worth trying once if you’re curious, but between the grease, the price, and the hype, it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to revisit.
I like Grimaldis and Pie Tap better tbh.
This spot is an extension of the original NYC location, and as soon as I took my first bite, I could tell they’ve done their homework. I’d rate the NY authenticity an 8 out of 10 — the flavor is almost spot-on, and while the crispiness isn’t quite there yet, it’s close enough to make me nostalgic.
I ordered The OG, Pepperoni, and Meat Lovers slices. The Pepperoni easily takes the crown — thick, spicy, and perfectly cheesy, it was the closest to that signature New York slice I’ve missed so much. The others could use a touch more oven time to hit that perfect crunch, but the taste was on point.
We went during opening week, so the lines were long — about a 2-hour wait — but honestly, it was worth it. The staff handled the rush well, and the energy was great. I’ll definitely be coming back in a couple of months once they’ve fully settled in, but for now, this was the closest I’ve felt to being back home in New York.
If you’re from NYC or just appreciate authentic New York–style pizza, Prince Street Pizza in Dallas is a must-visit.
As a fellow New Yorker, I had to stop by Prince St. Pizza in Dallas right after they opened — and man, it felt like a slice of home.
I’ve been going to the original Prince Street spot in NYC for years, and their Spicy Spring Sicilian has always been one of my all-time favorites. That slightly spicy marinara, those perfectly cupped pepperonis that collect the oil as they crisp and char, and that crunchy edge on the Sicilian crust — it’s perfection.
Dallas, you’re lucky. They nailed it here. The texture, the flavor, even that signature little kick — everything tastes just like the original in SoHo. The pepperoni Sicilian still steals the show. I also tried the meat lovers, which was solid, but trust me — save yourself from all else and go straight for the Spicy Spring Sicilian. That’s the one that made Prince St. famous for a reason.
The shop itself gives off that classic NYC vibe — brick walls, framed photos, and that “I’m gonna make you a pizza you can’t refuse” poster says it all. I love that they brought that energy and authenticity to Texas.
If you know good pizza — real New York pizza — this is the spot. Welcome to Dallas, Prince St. Pizza. You did it right.
My only complaint is that it wasn’t as hot as it should’ve been coming out of the oven. Also, just a heads-up they only have outdoor seating, so plan accordingly if it’s too hot or cold outside. Overall, a decent slice, but I wish it came out hotter and there were some indoor seating options.
Don’t come here for fantastic gluten-free pizza. You won’t find it here! Toppings were great and the dough was actually decent, but in the way they prepared the pizza, the sauce and cheese just slid right off. It’s almost as if they cooked the dough and then in the last 5 minutes they added the cheese & toppings.
When I used to eat gluten, I never had this issue with Prince St pizza. The normal pizza is fantastic!
