1 plate 2 drinks $42 before tip. Stopped for a quick lunch after driving half the day. Split the BBQ combo with my wife and we also had 2 drinks. $42 is crazy! Really, you gave us a plate sharing charge? You’re a BBQ restraunt… BBQ is meant to be shared!!! Please do better guys.

This meal was flavorless, for $50 i could’ve went to costco and got better. The pulled pork was dry, with a hint oh smokiness, definitely came out of a package. The brisket was that stuff from Walmart. The bbq chicken definitely came out of a bag and into a pot, then the sauce was thrown on top. The greens came out of a can. The Mac n cheese was box Mac n cheese no extras. The potato salad was had no seasoning (the best part of the meal). The fried okra came out of a frozen bag w/ no seasoning. The hush puppies were like biting into a playdough ball.

The barbecue chicken is the bomb. It is great the ribs not so much I would not order the ribs at all. My recommendations stick with the barbecue chicken, but not the pork!
The pork was too smoked with, of course, added barbecue sauce that didn’t even marinate in the pork ribs . So you got the teeth of smoked turkey rather than true pork I will never come and order the pork with chicken was great. The sides were great as well. I had almost all the sides and they were awesomely made with love the cake with me with love as well again I just wouldn’t order the pork ever again too bad I couldn’t go back and complain cause I took it out.

Everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the pork platter. Very generous portions and everything was very good. The baked beans had chunks of green peppers, it gave them extra flavor. The cole slaw complimented the pork very well. It was a very satisfying meal!

That was some of the worst soul food I have ever had. The collard greens had sugar, the Mac and cheese taste like Kraft from the box and the BBQ and ribs didn’t have enough sauce. I’m just getting started. Let’s just say I will NEVER be back. I visited this place back in 2020 or 2021 with different staff. I loved the food then. This place needs another cook.

Back to try dinner… the Liver & Onion special was just that…special. My son loved the sliced Brisket sandwich and my wife couldn’t finish the Catfish plate, which I can attest to, was excellent!!

Don’t ever come here for the barbecue. These people have absolutely no idea what the hell they’re doing. The brisket I got was maybe an eighth inch thick and tough as leather. Greasy as hell and absolutely no taste. “See photo’s “
I have had shoe leather that was better than this. I asked for sliced brisket, they said they normally mince it, and now I know why.
then you have the rest of this garbage food they serve , their chicken and ribs that they smothered with so much nasty barbecue sauce that you can’t taste anything but the barbecue sauce and that also throws up red flags.
As far as the rest of the menu, I couldn’t tell you, but one guy was being served meatloaf, and it looked like it was dog food or as dry as dog food. Their breakfast may be good. But it’s kind of hard to mess up steak and eggs or biscuits and gravy.

Food is a 3 because the brisket wasn’t quite done, and there was a lack of smoke flavor. The bun on the sandwich was a soft supermarkety bun. The pickles were terrific. The house BBQ sauce is truly notable in a very positive way.
Service was wonderful. Warm, helpful people with the definite cheer of being happy about what they’re doing, almost a Thailand-style happy about what they’re doing.
Atmosphere is a solid 4.5. It’s a BBQ place. Family owned. Feels just right.
Tipped $4 on $16.

I stopped to try the BBQ place and wound up getting the Seafood platter and a side salad. Salad was good but highly over priced at $5.99… I’m not sure but if I was a betting man, my money would be that all the seafood was frozen. The crab cake didn’t even have a hint of task of crab. Of course I’m a Marylander and we have high standards when it comes to anything with crabs. I’m a bread lover and they toasted the dinner roll. It was good. The salad was also good. Overall it was OK but nothing to write home about. Next time I’m getting the BBQ since the sign says it’s a BBQ joint. Lastly, don’t know about you, but I don’t like to be pushed out. They kept coming taking the things off the table asking if there’s anything else in a “get the hell out” kind of vibe. I bet it a cozy place for locals and lunch crowd. Definitely worth a try.
