Tried the cake tasting box and was disappointed by all the flavors except for the carrot cake. The carrot cake did have good flavor, but the rest were just bland and a bit too sweet. Disappointed because it is a cute bakery when you walk in. I tried one of the cookies and felt like the shortbread should’ve been crisp.

So impressed with this bakery. First, I called on a Sunday and they called me back! Was able to order for a birthday a day earlier than they normally do, The chocolate cream pie and banana cream pie were a hit! The pastry melts in your mouth. Pies were delicious! And I saw some more good things behind the counter. Highly recommend!

idk how to feel about this place. It looks good but their desserts aren’t too good when it comes down to taste and quality. I understand that they’re expensive because of the time it takes to prepare these desserts. But taste wise it’s just not worth it. I got a mini cake from them. It was supposed to be chocolate mousse but the stuff they put in there defintly cannot be considered mousse. It was dense and honestly just tasted like frosting. The cake itself was sparse and compared to all that frosting on it and in it, you could barely taste it. The flourless cake was okay, cannoli was good, but the tiramisu tasted like it had alcohol in it. It just tasted funny..

Primrose is an exceptional bakery, specializing in EVERYTHING. They have cannolis, eclairs, cookies, petit fours, big cakes, little cakes, everything. I honestly love the energy, the dog friendly atmosphere, and how no one inside is racing around. I LOVE that there’s a peacefulness inside. I’d rather walk in and wait a couple extra minutes than enter a space that is overwhelmed because the employees are at their wit’s end. We will always make this our holiday dessert go to now that they went above and beyond for this year.

I purchased four pastries for $50 and was very disappointed with the quality. The chocolate fudge and salted chocolate pastries were quite hard, and the only noticeable taste was sugar rather than the rich cocoa flavor I expected. The pomegranate mousse also lacked depth and tasted more like artificial coloring than a true fruit flavor. Unfortunately, the products did not justify the high price, and I would not recommend them based on my experience . Staff also wasn’t courteous enough

We had a fruit tart as a birthday cake when we were celebrating a birthday for one of our friends at a restaurant near by!
That fruit tart was the best fruit tart that I ever had. All the high quality real fruits with prefect sweetness on the filling and the crust!
So we went back to the shop to pickup some more and was greeted by a very sweet young lady that patiently introducing their products and gave us suggestions!
We just can’t wait till in the morning to have our coffee to go with more tarts and coffee cake we bought!
We will need to come back in the near future for sure!

I visited Primrose Bakery for the first time and had a great experience. There were 2 friendly girls working there who were super welcoming and kind. The service was great, and the cake I got was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back!

This bakery has very vast variety of deserts, cakes, pastries, cookies, chocolates, turkish desert and what not. Their eclairs are really nice, recommended! The cakes look delicious as well, will order one of them next time. Location of Pleasanton downtown is add-on to the good vibe on this bakery.

This is absolutely one of my favorite stops in Pleasanton for a quick cup of coffee in the morning or an after school sweet treat for my kids or post dinner dessert as we stroll in downtown Pleasanton! The service is always fantastic and my favorite snickerdoodle always delights. Although those cheesecakes are phenomenal! Primrose Bakery is a gem in downtown Pleasanton and I love supporting them!
