Clean. Love the individual washrooms. But I could see that being an issue when it gets super busy.
The restaurant is gorgeous – lovely tile work and decor. Very nice ambiance!
There is a nice selection of drinks, and the bar was a festive, lively atmosphere.
The food was good. I enjoyed my veggie fajitas. They were very tasty and a nice portion size. My husband was a little disappointed that his chicken soft tacos included shredded chicken instead of grilled chicken..but he will remember for next time.
The service could have been a little better. We were greeted with smiles from everyone, but they seemed to be short-staffed. It appeared that they only had two servers working on a Friday night, so we did experience a few delays. However, there were two auxiliary staff members who were very eager to help when we needed something.
Our server Jesiah was super nice; every person who approached our table was super polite. Please be sure to make a reservation beforehand. They also have patio seating which we did not use due to a cold evening. Must try.
Grant promptly took our beverage and appetizers order. We had the passion fruit Rum (a mixologist special) and Knob Creek whiskey. The Caprese salad with Basil and Balsamic side was mouth watering!! We shared a chicken Florentino Calzone and for dessert we had the Bombolini (think Italian donuts) with yummy chocolate dipping sauce!
When you drop by tell the Handsome Grant Hello!
The food passing was perfect! We did not feel rushed to eat and felt like family! We will be back!
When we walked in, the two hostesses asked for my name and phone number, to seat me at one of the many open tables….odd since there was no “wait” but I obliged. They took us to a table and walked away. We then sat for about 10 minutes until someone dropped water and then chips off at the table (no salsa). It had to have been 15-20 minutes after being seated that a waitress walked by and asked if we had been helped. She said the hostess put us at the “to-go” table and we shouldn’t have been seated there. She was nice though and got our orders taken.
A little after that a server brought queso over, we said we didn’t order it and he just turned and walked away without saying anything. He came back a few minutes later saying it was from the kitchen. The queso was by far the only positive of the night and was very tasty.
After ordering, some drinks came, others didn’t. When the food came, the tacos I ordered literally only had one very small chunk of chicken. Definitely not worth the $18. The taco salad ordered in my party had a bunch of listed ingredients missing as well. The manager was notified and she was very kind and offered to remake the food, but it was getting later and we didn’t want to have an additional wait. Lesson learned as well about mezcal….it smells like chemicals and tastes horrible (purely a personal opinion there) and I will not recommend their speciality margarita with mezcal.
Overall, the staff is friendly but still in the crawling phase of learning the ropes. The food was just “alright”, but definitely not worth the listed menu price.
I’ll be willing to give anything a second chance, including Primo’s, but will give them at least 6 months to figure out their operations first.
Now for the food. The menu is on the limited side and pricier than I’d be willing to pay for what we got. All of the portions were surprisingly small and while the food was good it wasn’t good enough to make up for the portion and price.
Overall it wasn’t a bad experience but I don’t feel the need to go back anytime soon.
