Primos was great! Cannot recommend it enough. We were seated quickly and given fresh, warm tortilla chips with salsa. The jalapeño pineapple margarita had the perfect sweet/spicy flavor. The Mexi-skins appetizer was lovely as well (ate too quickly for a picture). And we shared a HUGE portion of chicken fajitas for 2. We could tell that everything was fresh and house made, NOT processed and over-salty. As for desserts, the fried ice cream was my favorite but my partner preferred the fried cheesecake. We also had the opportunity to talk with the owner who was an incredibly nice, genuine guy! Great atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back, especially come summer!

I visited Primo Cantina several times in the last month or so, and verything we ordered was amazing.
The standout for me was the ‘Bandera’ style burrito, Burrito Mexicano. Not only was the presentation stunning with the red, white (queso), and green sauces, but the flavors were perfectly balanced. The rolled tacos were another highlight—perfectly crispy and topped with plenty of fresh queso fresco and guacamole.
We also tried the enchiladas verdes and a California bowl, and the quality of the ingredients across the board was top-notch. The heat levels were just right—flavorful and authentic without being overbearing. Even the sides of rice and refried beans were delicious and well-prepared.
The food is vibrant, fresh, and filling. If you’re looking for great Mexican food in the area, this is definitely the spot. I didn’t get a chance to try the bar menu yet, but I’ll definitely be back to pair a margarita with that burrito!
Service has consistently been great as well!

Primo Cantina is a nice update to the previous Mexican restaurant at this location. The service was great. Food came out quickly. We have guacamole and ceviche apps. The guacamole was freshly made. The ceviche was decent. Chips and salsa were good. My entree was a pick three-taco, burrito and enchilada. All were good. The draft beer was nice and cold. The margarita was pretty good too. Overall it was a good experience.

It’s been open about 3 months.

No one waiting on us after the hostess sat us down for too long of a while. Hmmm.

Salsa and chips are out, a long 16 minutes after being seated by a random staffer. We asked the staffer if we could order. She doesn’t take orders. She said our waitress would be with us to take our order soon. Our waitress ran off after bringing our drinks. We asked the same staffer from earlier to get our waitress, this waiting is running long for a Mexican restaurant.

Food order is finally in 27 minutes later. Our waitress was attentive and on top of things, once she connected with us.

Ordered Guacamole, rolled tacos with side of beans only, Three grilled chicken street tacos with black bean side and Sonoran ranchero with black beans and no cheese. $65.67

The chips are good. Crispy and fresh.
Mild salsa has an odd taste to me. The spicy salsa is just pure hot. The two mixed is better.

The guacamole is good, not super flavorful though and a bit bland, still decent.

The rolled chicken taco is good, comes with cheese inside.

The first Sonoran ranchero looked good, cotija cheese on my black beans though.

All of the staff see friendly and checked up on us after we ordered.

The food was out good. Put a rush on my redo for my Sonoran ranchero with black beans and no cheese. The Sonoran ranchero was good. Chicken is cubed. Good flavors.

The chicken taco is okay, my husband doesn’t mind the shredded chicken in the rolled tacos, but he forgot to order the grilled chicken. The shredded chicken makes the

My new favorite Mexican place! Such a great quality food and service. The store is clean, great music, great atmosphere, and managers that check in as well. Very professional. I’ll definitely bring my family back here many more times! Highly recommend the steak fajitas. A+++

It’s Macomb County’s Sagebrush, only with a ground beef option! It was delicious! The margaritas were so good. The ground beef crunchy taco was amazing. Rice and beans are on point. Cheese enchiladas were delicious too! Will definitely be back many times. I’ll get pics next time, it looked so good, we dug in right away! The place was packed, but that did not slow down the service. Make sure you get the large margarita!

An absolutely awesome restuarant! We went for mom’s night! We had the best time! The food was so good , the staff was AMAZING! They were so friendly & loved our holiday sweater theme! We brought a good time & they allowed us to have it! We were a little rowdy, but didn’t get too crazy until almost closing. Lol. The margaritas were absolutely delicious & strong! A wonderful night out with delicious food & drinks. Would definitely recommend!

Soooooo good! Fish tacos are my barometer for a Mexican restaurant and these were the best I’ve ever had. All the ingredients are super fresh – sometimes Mexican restaurant food sits heavy in my stomach but you can taste the quality in their ingredients and their portions are enough for another meal tomorrow. Drinks have heavy pours, dessert (fried cheesecake) was fantastic. And all of the staff and friendly and attentive. So happy to have this place just ten minutes away from me! New fave for sure

So I came here because I was close by and I find a picture of a flan online posted by Tim Edward . Thank you ! I ordered a corn , a chile relleno and the flan that I came for . I am vegetarian . And the flan was way better than it looks , too bad there is no hot chocolate lol. I loved this place because it feels good and clean since you enter , and the staff is really nice . I think the owner or maybe the manager stopped by my table to make sure everything was going well . I love good service . I eat flan every time I can and this is the best one I had in Michigan so far . I would come again .

The best birria I’ve ever had in the United States. Don’t skip dessert. Our table had the cheesecake dish, and the churros were perfect for sharing if you’re meeting friends for a tasty treat.
