1st of all this is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been inside. 2nd of all the food seemed like it was very good as long as you weren’t vegan or Vegetarian. The service left a lot to be desired and then sustained because the restaurant itself is gorgeous. Really worth it just to eat there. Every detail of the design is immaculate and beautiful . It’s also very comfortable.

We had a great night on 12/27! Twelve for dinner which was fantastic! Paige gave us the the utmost service! The chef prepared each of our individual meals which were all so yummy . All of us really enjoyed being together. Thank you Primo’s for making my special dinner a fantastic time.

What a strange experience. This was our late Valentine’s day dinner. I had seen the menu, and mostly positive reviews online.
I feel like we missed the peak of this place maybe 10 years ago. The decor and ambiance were dated. I asked one of our servers (I’ll get into that) and she said it used to be a reception hall, which makes sense.
Ok… There is a bus boy that gets your water. There is another guy that brings your bread/bruschetta. Then you have 2 servers that don’t communicate with each other do order from them on. Like one takes your appetizer order, and then the other one takes your entre order, and then the busser takes your dessert order, and then the hostess brings you and returns your check. Very strange and confusing.
The menu that was already small online is MUCH smaller now. We literally went because they were supposed to have carpaccio. We were told that in December they had removed 2 items from each of the options. 2 appetizers (including the carpaccio, which I did get told was fantastic by one of the servers), 2 salads gone, 2 soup gone, 2 seafood gone, 2 chicken gone, 2 steak gone. Leaving barely 2 choices for anything but steak.
The drink list was a joke, and when we asked for special cocktails, we were pointed to a section that was 5 kinds of martinis, and at least 3 people telling us they do have a full bar.
The food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great. She had the Chilean sea bass, which was a special, and I had the veal marsala. It was nothing to write home about. We had to ask to even be offered dessert, and the list what relayed to us fast, and confusing. By this point the evening was already gone, and we were riffing on the strangeness of events.
The bill came, from the hostess, and was $150 for two people, no salads, a vodka soda, and amoretto sour, and two entrees. I had just gone to Charleston Draper the night before, and had a similar ticket for SUCH better food, and better experience.
I can’t imagine this place lasting much longer without drastic changes. The comments that not many people are there, are for a reason.

Amazing food, friendly service and beautiful atmosphere. Great Holladay location. Unique building that has a dinner theater feel to it. They have both inside and outside seating and phenomenal parking. If you love Italian food, you will love this place!

One of the best Italian places we’ve been too. We’ve come here twice now and the food, service, and atmosphere are top notch. Both times they have been pretty slow which always amazes me. Their Italian beer was good as was the house wine.

Serving staff were friendly and very helpful. The dinner began with delicious homemade bread and Bruschetta. The Caesar Salad was perfect with just the right amount of Caesar dressing. The Pasta e fagioli was a creamy delight. Our group ordered the Shrimp Scampi, Crusted Bass, Veal, and Grilled Salmon. All were cooked to perfection. Don’t skip the dessert. The Creme Brulee, German Chocolate Cake and the Chocolate Gelato were big hits at our table. The owner is a nice host who charmed our 2 young ones. He also treated them with a second helping of gelato. Really enjoyed our experience. We will definitely come back for our future meals.

Oh my. The finest meal I’ve enjoyed this year. And I enjoy fine dining regularly. The Chef takes no shortcuts. The food is prepared carefully, and presented in perfect form.

The service and atmosphere were great for a romantic date. Our waiting staff were very knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and great at letting us have our space. The food was of good quality but lacked flavor for our liking. The brioche bread was tasty. We got the shrimp scampi and chicken parmesan. Both came with pasta. Both dishes were bland and lacked taste highlights that we typically enjoy when ordering these entrees elsewhere.
