Liked this coffee shop a lot, cool blend of all the things: spot to hang out, coffee and tea, small bites, beer, and pleasant environment. Loved that they have a reading challenge where the winner gets a pizza party haha, these small things give character to an otherwise standard coffee shop. Nothing exquisite about the food here but lots of great food options in the surrounding area.

Primitive Coffee Company in Nolensville is a great spot to stop by. If you’re a coffee lover, this place is pretty much perfect—these folks really know how to serve coffee the right way.
I tried their Huck Finn, which is their coffee soda, and wow… it’s such a unique and refreshing drink. Highly recommend giving it a shot if you want something a little different.
Food-wise, everything I’ve had has been great. I loved their kolache, and the tots are seriously delicious—crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying.
Overall, great vibes, great food, and fantastic coffee. Definitely worth a visit!

As a cafe owner, I’m always looking for a place where their passion comes across in two ways. Their craft and their care. If those are your values, you’ll be pleased with your visit here. Top notch coffee in a down-to-earth, approachable, and friendly atmosphere. I had the espresso tonic. Handily makes my top 3 I’ve ever had.

Absolutely adorable and delicious coffee shop! They make all their own syrups in house as well as their chai. Very balanced flavors which makes the coffee shine! I’m tried an iced honey lavender latte with oat milk and usually need to say half sweet, but here at Primitive they made it spot on as it comes! Soooooo yummy! Check this place out if you haven’t tried it yet. The staff was awesome too

Popped in here with my husband on a Saturday morning. We both had a seasonal drink and really enjoyed it! We also ordered the breakfast tots and the bacon, egg and cheese quesadilla! It’s all made to order so we enjoyed chatting and people watching while we waited for our coffees and then our food. The staff was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy to assist us. I can’t wait to return!

Primitive Coffee is my favorite neighborhood coffee spot. It is a down-to-earth atmosphere with good coffee. This is my spot for one-on-one meetings. They have perfect snacks to go with your coffee. The staff have been friendly and helpful. Free street parking! I also love seeing my neighbors here quite often here too!

Have been going here for a year and a half now and they are only getting better in their service and products. The primitive/outdoor theme is unmatched in the Nashville coffee scene and I have enjoyed just about everything I’ve had here.
Every time I turn around they are hosting some new event or challenge for their patrons to take part in. Their motto is simple, but fitting: “Good coffee. Gooder community.”

A nice place to get a coffee or a beer in south Nashville. Glad they’re working with Harding House Brewing, with some guest taps to boot. Wheelchair accessible entrances alongside the usual stairs. A good amount of seating. Interesting seasonal special beverages as well.
