The service was still great. Everyone was super friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. I also love that they offer 3-course meal options—it makes ordering easy and quick.
For starters, I ordered the stuffed mushrooms with shrimp and the sweet corn chowder. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible, packed with flavor in every bite. The soup didn’t disappoint either, and the bread they serve with melted cheese on top was so good.
For my main course, I had the filet mignon with truffle pasta. It was good, but a little dry—I wish it had been more juicy. My boyfriend got the ribeye with lobster, and unfortunately that one wasn’t our favorite. Everything tasted a bit overcooked. I’m thinking it may have been because of the large party, since our previous visit was much better.
Overall, I’d definitely come back—but probably for a date night instead of a big group. The inside is beautiful, quiet, and dimly lit, which makes it perfect for a cute romantic dinner.
Food was great and drinks during happy hour were an amazing price compared to everything nearby. We will definitely come back again. They were also playing MLB playoffs. We got the ribeye and burger. Both were great!
There was absolutely nothing outstanding about this place. Not the service, food or atmosphere. The people who frequent this establishment and recommend it to others must live in a Ventura bubble, which explains how Aloha Steakhouse gets any 5 star reviews.
It took over 30 minutes just to place our order. I ordered a Shirley Temple, and it was made with club soda, which was completely wrong and undrinkable. The food was overpriced, and it took nearly an hour and a half for our meals to come out. We clearly weren’t a priority.
To make things worse, they lost my husband’s card, and when they finally found it, they charged it twice. He noticed both charges when we got home.
Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Poor seating choice, slow service, mediocre food, and careless handling of payment. Definitely not worth the money or the frustration.
We came here for my wife’s birthday. The whole back area seated were celebrating birthdays. The came out to each table with bread pudding and a candle which was a nice touch. If you are close, you don’t need to drive to a Ruth Chris, Flemings or a God awful Mortons.
The menu was impressive, and every dish was a hit. The pretzel bread was a standout, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp was cooked to perfection. It was clear that they know how to cook their proteins right, as the shrimp in every dish was just perfect.
The ribeye steaks were the star of the show, cooked exactly how we like them, and the peppercorn sauce added a great touch. The surf and turf with the lobster tail was the best I’ve ever had, hands down.
We also tried the Roy Rogers drink on their recommendation—delicious! Thanks to everyone at Prime Steakhouse for a memorable evening of excellent food and top-notch service. We can’t wait to come back!
