First time we ever went there. We went with another couple. Steaks were good. Service was OK. We ordered a martini at the bar and it was $12, then we ordered the same martini at dinner and it was $16. Theobster bisque was perfection. I ordered the filet mignon and shrimp scampi. The steak was very good and cooked perfectly. The shrimps were just skewered grilled shrimp. They were fine, but no butter/no garlic/no bread crumbs. My husband and his friend both ordered the Prime New York and my husband raved that his steak was excellent. His friend said his steak was overcooked. I went back for lunch with my friend. I ordered the salmon; it was raw. I had to send it back. I ordered it as the menu said it was terriaki salmon, but it was raw salmon with some soy sauce for me to pour over it. Not impressed. I will be back. There are several other items on the menu I want to try.

Pros:
Ambiance
Tasty food
Cons:
Dirty, crumpled menus
Bad glass of wine
Lack of steak house sides
Not sure if they have dessert menu
Detailed Review: The ambiance was very nice. We sat in a little nook for two that was romantic. The menus were paper (fine) but they looked like they had been spilled on, stomped on and ran over by a car. We started with poke nachos and I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. The appetizer came out but not my wine. When the wine did come out, the server asked me to taste it & let her know if it’s okay. (Which made me wonder if there was a reason it wouldn’t be okay?) It was REALLY cold but I am not fussy so I said it was fine. On my second taste, I noticed an oily film sitting on the top of the wine so I sent it back. The server was very gracious and said she’d bring me something else (not sure what that was going to be but okay).
Selecting dinner was the next hurdle. I wanted a nice steak but the side options were fries, onion rings, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies and maybe one other thing. If I’m having a filet, I don’t want sides I could get at Portillo’s.
I settled on the less expensive steak frites and my husband had dual filets with shrimp scampi. I really enjoyed the steak frites. The steak was a little fatty but tender & absolutely delicious. My husband was happy with his, though the filets looked more like thin cut top sirloin and the shrimp scampi was really just a shrimp skewer. But he said it was a very tasty meal. The steak was cooked perfectly and you could have cut it with a butter knife. We would have stayed for dessert but the server brought us our check & never offered a dessert menu or drink. All in all, I don’t know if I’d recommend this place. It had so much potential but it hasn’t hit its stride. I hope they do.

Had an excellent dinner here on a quiet Monday after Valentine’s Day. French Onion soup was enjoyed thoroughly by 3/4 at our table to start. Steaks were all prepared as desired and high quality cuts – the split filet was melt-in-your mouth phenomenal. Richie gave great, attentive service. Hope to see this restaurant succeed at Geneva Commons. The ambiance is appropriate for a special date, family meal, fancier work get together, or special event. We’ll be back and hope others give it a try!

We came for lunch. The service was friendly but the food was terrible. Several mix ups with the order but she was new and really trying. My first clue was the plastic bread basket and salt and pepper shakers. Details matter especially when you call yourself a steakhouse. I ordered the lobster bisque which was incredibly salty. We also ordered the fig and goat cheese crostini which we sent back. It was terrible and the presentation looked like a child made it. My husband said his chicken sandwich was decent but the remoulade sauce he requested was too salty. The fries were mediocre. This place was disappointing especially given how much the bill was.

You can tell it’s a new restaurant and they’re getting better. Honestly, it’s nice to have a steakhouse where you can enjoy a steak and cocktail without spending $300+. What was great, was absolutely no wait and our server was extremely attentive. Atmosphere was spot on and we will definitely come back. If they keep plugging away at improving the menu, this place will be reservations only soon enough. Thanks.

This was the strangest experience.
The food was okay, seems the kitchen is more put together than the rest of the restaurant. We dined on Valentine’s Day and after waiting in line to be seated due to an absent hostess, we were sat by the woman who ended up being our server.
We were given a paper menu with plenty of spelling errors and none of the food we saw on the online menu.
We asked and were told it was a valentines prefix menu. This wasn’t noted anywhere on their website. We said okay and moved on, but were taken aback when the tables around us ordered off of a visibly different menu and received food we were told wasn’t available, such as soup and burgers.
Food arrived timely but our server was clearly confused and untrained. Did not give us a drink menu or know what beer was available. Asked us to “be excused” so she could get her note pad she had forgotten for our two orders (off of a small prefix menu)
The atmosphere was off and restaurant seemed generally unprepared. A couple seated next to us had to ask for a chair.
Once we got our food, our server completely disappeared. When we finally received the bill, we saw that the prices on our receipt did not match the prices on the menu. Overall it was a very strange experience. We found ourselves asking “should we leave…?” Multiple times. All in all, our food was good so we left happy enough but will definitely not be returning.

I came in on Friday with some friends and we were very happy they had a cocktail menu they we all loved. I had the jalapeño Pineapple margarita was made perfect. For appetizers, we had the oysters, calamari and seafood tower, which was all amazing and served very hot. I had the New York Strip which was cooked to perfection, fresh cut fries, and veggies. My girlfriends tried the Prime Ribeye, Filet Mignon, Pork chops, and Coconut Shrimp. We were leaving that place so satisfied. We will definitely be back NYE for dinner.

My sister and I had an early dinner and glass of wine at Prime Cut on New Years Eve. The restaurant was almost empty, which worried us at first. We sat in the dining room near the fireplace – the atmosphere was fabulous. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We had the poke nachos and coconut shrimp with seasonal vegetables. The food was outstanding! We are already planning to go back. I know they received some bad reviews when they first opened. I hope people will give them a second chance.

My husband and I came here on Valentines Day, and the place was empty. When we walked in, 2 bartenders looked right at us and never even said hello. This should have been our first & second clue. They sat us in a cozy table for two, which was nice – at first, but then we started to look around and saw unfinished wall framing and other places where they painted over screws on new drywall. Tacky. We each ordered twin filets, and we also had scallops, crab cake, and shrimp. Sounds delightful, right? No! His filet was 1/3 gristle – and there should never be gristle in a filet. My crab cake was flat like a pancake and dry, and my scallops were cold in the middle, so we sent them back. When they came back with new scallops they still had my old scallops on the plate with some newer ones, and now they were overcooked and rubbery. Couldn’t eat the scallops after 2 tries so we asked for a credit – they gave us $5 off a $50 plate! The waitress never once smiled, and was barely friendly. WE WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!

We had decided on Sunday after shopping to come here and try it out, since it was new. Walking in, our first impression was that it was amazing. We were greeted by friendly staff and given a seat immediately. Our server, Cassie was great and walked us through different options, recommending many different plates. We just wanted to eat lite, so we tried the Poke Nachos and the Crostini with Goat Cheese – it was delicious. We then wanted to try more, so we had the Wagyu Meatballs and of course side order of fries. We were not disappointed. Everything was served fresh and in a timely manner. We enjoyed being there, especially because our server was nice, checked in and fun. If you get a chance to stop in and give it a try, you should and ask for Cassie!
