The food was really good.. Loved it.! But I asked the curly haired girl who brought me and my wife our food for a refill and she scoffed at me and told me she wasn’t my server.. Not sure if this is how the store usually operates but I did not take her reaction fondly..

Been eating here for years often to go or lunch. Never had any problems. Last night however was such a poor experience will likely not be returning. The waitress was awesome on the phone “my professional voice must’ve matched her idea of her preferred customer”.
(1) I called ahead to reserve seating. We walked in as a group & were told to select a seat it wasn’t until I then questioned if perhaps the large table is for us? Which delivered oooh yes you called ahead.
(2) Ordered a flight of margaritas the waitress simply said ok! Not what flavors would you like. She provides 4. I then look at the menu & find there are 6 margarita flavors offered.
(3) We ordered 4 steaks, often order medium well. However, it was a filet so ordered medium – pre preparing for a screw up knowing when the kitchen is cooking multiple there will be errors. We also asked for a baked potatoes.
(4) Dinner arrives, we have ramekins & squash and zucchini on the plates. We ask what are the items the server says these are twice baked potatoes & we have others sides then names 3 others instead of squash and zucchini.
(5) As we begin cutting into our steaks they’re all over cooked! So much so 2 people traded plates so one would have a better dinning experience w a lesser well steak. ALL steaks were well done plus except 1!!
I inform the waitress, like hi I’m really not trying to complain but: I dislike peach would’ve swapped the flavor for another but you didn’t offer that (however it’s fine because they actually didn’t add peach flavor to it). She argued on the flight they only offer peach as the 4th & they don’t have 2 other flavors. Though a previous visit I didn’t get peach (the older lady then, roughly a year ago was absolutely amazing & so was the dining experience). Informed her all the steaks are well over cooked but hey it’s fine we’ll still eat them. Informed her the sides were not as requested “baked potato” she then says this is the baked potato, though server said it was twice baked. I offer we were expecting an actual baked potato she then says well next time let me know, specify. I inform her she didn’t suggest the squash and zucchini could be switched out for 1 of 4 other sides but again it’s fine. All in all should could not have cared less! She didn’t offer to remedy any of the things mentioned. There was not an offering of a discount on the meal nor future meal with a commitment to get it right. There wasn’t a complimentary dessert. Nothing! If she had received no tip she would’ve been like it’s “them” poor tippers but her performance was sub zero on a $400 meal.
I use to order 2 Turkeys from here every year & give one away during the holidays. Always suggest this place as a rare gem. Never again. The vibe was truly, “it’s them ugh” on what was suppose to be a good vibe type of night. I had to listen to everyone complain about how terrible the food & staff was. In the words of the family I took “extremely disappointing”.

Would give a 5/5 but unfortunately the steak was very underwhelming. Although management made it right without me even saying anything so that was appreciated. The cabbage casserole and hamburger were absolutely amazing though! The atmosphere was nice and down to earth. Casual attire and affordable prices.

This restaurant is a surprise success. The pork rinds delivered to table are delicious. I’ve eaten here 4 times now. Today was my first try with brunch. They have bottomless mimosas! The breakfast puff was good but not a repeat for me. The burger is one of my favorite in town! The pork and beef mix gives a flavorful. The prime special po boy is a take of Darrell’s special. Bread is more traditional firm French loaf. The over all take is less messy than Darrell’s but same flavor minus bread.
The best service! Food is always timely. I have even eaten here with a group of 16! Every time I’ve been here I’ve had no complaints.

We stopped in Lake Charles for one night during our 23 hr drive home. Have you read the prior reviews? Because I’m saying the same thing they are. Impeccable service! (shout out to Heather) And the personal service by all of the staff, including the owner, who stopped to check on us on a few occasions. It’s true that the Ribeye is top notch with unmatched flavor and cooked perfectly to our request. My hamburger steak was so so good with the best homemade gravy with mushrooms. And you must try the house Margaritas. All flavors we tried were very tasty. The bread pudding was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. This is a local and very welcoming restaurant that you really have to experience for yourself. Don’t expect fancy unless you’re talking about their steaks!

Prime burgers….cannot say enough about how good they are. If it’s been 2 months since the last one or it was just last week , it will be consistently excellent every time. Hubby got his favorite hamburger steak & sister said the rueben is the best she’s ever had around here. Love me some Prime & Heather & Mr. Dan ❤❤❤❤
