First visit here last Friday. I sat at the bar around 5:30 PM for dinner and a cocktail and was looking forward to a relaxing evening. Unfortunately, the experience fell short.
The service was very disappointing. The bartender largely ignored the corner of the bar where I was seated. Long stretches went by without any check-in, and it took quite a while to get attention for basic things. For what should have been a simple cocktail and dinner, the lack of attentiveness really stood out.
I ordered the halibut, which had the potential to be excellent. It was a beautiful piece of fish, but sadly it was overcooked and dry. Halibut should be moist and gently glistening inside — this one was anything but. It was disappointing to see such a quality cut not prepared properly.
From the time I walked in at 5:30 PM until I left at 8:30 PM, the overall pace of the evening felt excessive for just sitting at the bar for a cocktail and dinner. The combination of inattentive service and poorly executed food made for a frustrating first impression.
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but based on this visit, it was a letdown.

The Brunch bunch visited here on a Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. We had reservations, but it didn’t seem we really needed them, as it wasn’t too busy, but they did have a pretty good crowd. Two of us ordered the sangria and another ordered an Island Breeze to drink. The sangria was delicious, but pricey at $14 a glass. I ordered The Elvis, which the menu describes as: “Whipped Nutella, Crunchy Peanut Butter, Caramelized Bananas, Center Cut Bacon, and our House Strawberry Jam. Topped with Powdered Sugar and Banana Pecan Crunch crepe.”
When it arrived, It didn’t have caramelized bananas, bacon, strawberry jam or powdered sugar. (See the pic). The filling was just Nutella and peanut butter and it was topped with dehydrated banana chips. It was very underwhelming. To be honest, I didn’t even realize right away that it was missing anything. I was too busy catching up with my friends. I didn’t even notice until now, when I looked up the description on the menu! WTH Prime?
Service was pretty good, and the atmosphere is nice.

Brunch at Prime, you can’t miss it! Serving brunch both mornings of the weekend, we stopped in late on a rainy Saturday. Extremely accommodating and knowledgeable waitstaff that helped us with all the best menu recommendations. We started out with Cold brew and filthy Martinis, and finished with the strawberry basil mojito and springtime sangria, all great selections for our mini-buffet. First we tried the Buffalo cauliflower and turkey chili, both flavorful but not too filling. We split the cornflake fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato hash, AND the chicken florentine toast with hollandaise. Very moist/tender chicken sandwich with the perfect brioche and a tangy mustardy aioli. The strawberry mascarpone crepe with honey and almond made me laugh out loud, I didn’t know any other natural response to something so perfect. Great for any time of day.
We really enjoyed our experience and will certainly be back, thank you

Service was terrible. It took 30 minutes to be acknowledged after we sat down with reservations. Water smelled like sewage. Food was great. Staff said they were short. However I talked with locals who said the service is always slow. Got our steak incorrect and brought it after we finish our deserts

Overall a decent meal and dining experience. The atmosphere was similar to that of an outdoor café with large open garage door-type, windows. The ambience was casual. The wait staff was gregarious and helpful when asked for recommendations and / or suggestions. The menu was varied from steaks, seafood, to Italian fare. There were also vegetarian options, sandwiches, as well as soups….
My daughter and I had dinner and we both ordered one of the featured meals—the filet mignon with Asian spice dusting. Our starch side was the wasabi mashed potatoes (quite heavy on the wasabi—that said, they were delicious) with the vegetable du jour steamed Bok Choy (it was a bit under seasoned and overcooked ). We both also ordered the roasted beet salad—personally, I would’ve substituted red beets for the yellow beets for a more varied color. Otherwise, the colors of the salad were predominantly yellow+green—orange slices and yellow beet wedges accompanied by the Arugula, Candied Walnuts, Fennel Slaw, Greens. The balsamic vinaigrette was outstanding!
We each ordered the fillet medium rare and it arrived at the appropriate temperature. I did, however, request to have the fillet bacon-wrapped, but I suppose the Chef did not feel capable of preparing it bacon-wrapped … Now I also requested a béarnaise-type dipping sauce for the fillet….and while I was assured not only once, but twice that it would arrive…it never did. Similarly when I asked for more bread—they only gave us four tiny pieces of what appeared to be sourdough bread—while they exclaimed “sure thing!” the additional bread never arrived…
The table water decanter was a nice touch, but once emptied halfway through the meal it was never refilled. That was frustrating especially when that’s the only thing you’re having to drink with your meal. ♂️
Lemon slices were provided upon requested…
The desserts were delicious. I ordered the peanut butter chocolate pie, and my daughter ordered the caramel cheesecake. Both absolutely divine… overall I would certainly recommend this restaurant as an adequate dining experience and would probably patronize it, again…

Awesome service and good food. We stopped in for Sunday breakfast and the hostess asked if we had reservations. Many of us waiting did not have reservations but the staff accommodated everybody. I would highly recommend a reservation, especially first thing on a Sunday morning. I had the burrito and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. Everything was cooked perfectly. We will definitely stop in again.

First time at Prime – ordered a burger with a grind of multiple meats and hot honey. It was super flavorful and the gluten free bun was excellent. Fries were well seasoned and crisp. It was too cold in the place for me but it’s because they had the side open (think garage doors) for air. Vibe was akin to State Street Grill in Clarks Summit. Waitresses were a bit chaotic but overall an okay spot.

Nice restaurant. It’s a little bit of a ride from our neighborhood but a nice change for us and the food makes it worth the drive. Service is always pleasant. Drinks are good. I’ve never had a bad meal here. I especially like the Scallops in brown sauce with mushrooms. I keep forgetting to take a picture. This visit I had them as an appetizer. The sauce is so good you just want to “mop it up” with bread. Switched dinner up this time to Veal Scampi with Penne which was very good. The Beet Salad (bad picture as I had started to eat it already) can be ordered as a side for an upcharge and I highly recommend it. That was generous and delicious. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, especially in our area, but if you wish something beyond chain food, I endorse dining here. Note to the restaurant: a bread serving of half of a dinner roll (sliced to look like bread) for 2 people really is pretty ridiculous. We actually LOL when we opened the napkin.
Our service was very nice and as it was a slow night, we were not rushed in any way.
