What a cute place! I love supporting small local businesses. We came for the BLT melt we saw on the menu online and my mom got the meatloaf. A glass of wine and an Angry Orchard or two later… we had a great time. They gave us a free little salad/couscous appetizer which was a nice surprise. Waitress was working her butt off as a lot of tables got sat at the same time for lunch.

It smelled so good as soon as we walked in! I love the homemade bread. What a nice gem here. When we aren’t so full we will grab some dessert to go next time.

What a delightful restaurant! We were so pleasantly surprised! We asked for a restaurant recommendation from our hotel and they suggested the Primary Tavern. It was close by so that was a plus, but even if we had to drive farther, this place would still be high on my list! The service was flawless! The food was all freshly made with high quality ingredients, perfectly seasoned and served piping hot! The breads were mouthwatering! The atmosphere was elegant and with black and white tablecloths, lighted centerpieces, lovely decor, cheerful music and very comfortable seating. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, but I’m sure breakfast and lunch here would be every bit as delightful!

What a gem! After 6 weeks on the road this is the best food we’ve found in the States. It’s a farm to plate restaurant, created with passion and sustainability.

The menu is hand written and filled with character. We opted for the quiche and Havana pot roast, topped off with delicious hame made cake.

The staff were awesome and there was something gloriously contradictory about the decor (think dark leather, walls covered in wine bottles, then football on a big TV) which just added to the Tavern’s uniqueness.

If you’re passing by, don’t miss this.

Exquisite. I had the Mango Pineapple Chicken and the flavors were perfectly blended. The BLT was huge with the best bread you could imagine. For dessert the peach ginger pie, again perfect and not so sweet so you could actually taste the peaches and ginger blended together. I wasn’t just amazed but totally blown away by how good Primary Tavern is. I would recommend whole heartedly.

What a treat! Had a fantastic, delicious and unique salad and pot roast entree! My server Danielle was a total sweetheart and top notch service was provided! The Chef delivered our food and is a total GEM! The selection of desserts blew my mind and the chocolate mousse pie was out of this world! If you want fresh from scratch food, we highly suggest Primary Tavern!

Primary Tavern is delicious! I got the meatloaf sandwich and my husband got the Havana pot roast both dishes were cooked well and tasted great they both came with tri-colored pasta salad which was amazing. The rolls are delicious and I think my new favorite restaurant roll! We also got a peanut butter and chocolate cake and of course, it was great as well it tasted like peanut butter fudge. It was a wonderful meal and I will be coming back very soon.

My family and I stumbled across this delicious restaurant while sitting in traffic after a long 14 hour drive. We walked in and were immediately greeted with friendly smiles and the most amazing smells! We met the owner and chef who was so kind- but the food is what sold us! We ordered the bread that had spreads the dough was so soft and the perfect texture, our entrees were the star of the show. We ordered the two fisted BLT- the bacon was perfectly cooked and the flavor compliments each component of the sandwich. Next we got the primary chicken salad, hands down best chicken salad we have ever had, the bread was so fresh and the pine nuts were that crunch you didn’t know you needed! We also tried the SPO and each bite was full of flavor and freshness! If you are in the area please go check out this freshly cooked and baked restaurant! Bonus they have an amazing bakery as well!

We had an awesome experience here. The waitress and chef/owner were amazing. The food was excellent. We got appetizers. The bread, escargot, mini crab cakes. Then topped it off with strawberry cheesecake.

Atmosphere is upscale but it’s relaxed enough for jeans. We had the bread with spreads, the mango chicken, the pork loin with apples, and the apricot cream cake. The bread was fantastic. The dinners were good. The sauces on the entrees were great. The cake was dry and/or turning stale. Pricing is reasonable.
All entrees seem to come with a “side salad” of a bit of spinach, couscous, and a balsamic drizzle. Honestly, I found the salad confusing and dry. I wish it had more substance. My partner liked it as-is. The bread app was warm and tasty, came with herb butter, oil, and roasted garlic cloves. We loved the bread and all the flavors, only suggestions are the garlic would be better warm and the butter could be more room temp. The entrees were great – the sauces really took them to the next level and the potatoes are real! The cake was underwhelming and we didn’t finish it, despite my partner’s intense sweet tooth. Wait staff was lovely. Service took a little while but not so long it was concerning.
Someone else mentioned the plates – why are the plates paper? My only guess is that there is no dish washing station but it really takes away from the contemporary beauty of the restaurant.
Overall, it’s giving caterer-attempts-restaurant vibes.

Oh. My. Gosh! Primary Tavern was excellent. I had breads and spreads for an appetizer, the meatloaf wedge for dinner, and cream coconut cake to go. It was all divine and the service was excellent. They have a bar area with lots of wine and seating to accommodate large parties. I was there very late in the day. Highly recommend.
