Disappointed Twice — Not Going Back
I’ve given Primanti Bros. in Triadelphia, WV two chances, and unfortunately, both visits left me disappointed.
On our most recent visit, we ordered takeout: two chicken salads for my wife and me, and chicken tenders for our son. While the tenders were fine, the salads were severely lacking — barely any chicken at all. When I called to express my concern, the manager, Matthew, told me it was just “bad luck” and that the quality of the salad depends on the “luck of the draw.” That’s not the kind of response I expect from a restaurant that values its customers.
This wasn’t our first issue. On a previous visit, I slipped and fell on a wet floor that hadn’t been marked or cleaned up. I ended up with bruised and cut knees. No one offered assistance or took responsibility. On top of that, I was told a certain beer was on special, only to be charged full price for it. When I pointed out the mistake, they gave me a $20 voucher — which I used on this latest visit.
Even with the voucher, the experience was disappointing. I paid the remaining $12 and left a $6 tip, hoping for a better experience. Instead, I got a dismissive response and another letdown.
I really wanted to support this location, but after two negative experiences — poor food quality, safety issues, and customer service that falls short — I won’t be returning!

I am currently sitting at my booth writing this review. I used to be a long time regular to Primanti’s when I used to live here in Wheeling about 5 years ago, currently back home visiting from California and came in this evening to eat and for drinks with a friend and the service has been horrendous. Destiny was our waitress, and it’s not very busy either. We got sat and 10 minutes after being sat, we got our drink orders taken , which took another 15-20 minutes just to get the drinks, which the waitress apologized for.. so initially we were entirely understanding, but then we got the appetizer, asked for plates which also took a while to get. I decided to not order food since the preview of service we were getting wasn’t looking very promising. I got two hurricane cocktails, and the second one wasn’t a hurricane. It was definitely cherry and I pointed to the correct one on her platter because I recognized the color as being the hurricane that I ordered, but she argued and said that she was sure my bright red entirely clear cocktail was a hurricane. Said maybe I should try something new. And it was definitely cherry. Sour and bitter with no coconut rum, etc.
So at that point instead of waiting another 20 minutes for a drink, I decided to just ask for the check for my friend and I because it was just getting very frustrating and I figured “what else can they mess up if I allow them to” lol. I’ve had many other great experiences here, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend Destiny.

First time eating at a Primanti’s. Menu is has a wide variety of items to order. The sandwiches are big. Hope you have a big appetite.
The manager stopped by to ask how our meals were. Very friendly and talked with my dad for a bit.
Numerous TVs to watch whatever sport is on. Staff is friendly.

Great location, great food, and great service. Our waiter was great. It’s a sports bar vibe for me but it was really nice. I got a turkey sandwich and opted to get our fries on the side instead of on the sandwich. Very very good. We will definitely return if we come back to this area.

Wow! The size of their sandwiches and friendly staff alone is a good reason to return here. I ordered the sirloin steak and cheese sandwich, served with cheese, fries, slaw, and tomato on Italian bread, and it was delicious! So much meat, that I could only eat half of it, the rest I took home for a late-night meal. The atmosphere is vibrant, and having the pseudo inside/outside setup works to create a relaxing vibe. Good tunes playing in the background and the service was incredible.
Highly recommend this place! The sandwiches are worth the hype and more than reasonably priced. You’ll love it!

I stopped at the Wheeling location with my 92 year old mother in law. She uses a walker and oxygen. I simply cannot express how caring and helpful the staff was to her. They went out of their way to see that she was comfortable and had everything she needed to enjoy a delicious meal. The food was delicious and she enjoyed it very much but again, what really touched me was the kindness of the staff. I will be a repeat customer for sure! THANK YOU!

Keath served us, she was great. Michael was the manager on duty and he was great, as well. But the food was horrible. The fish was way overcooked, you could taste the burnt in the breading. The ketchup on the table was warmer than the fries. Michael took care of it. And the garbage music was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think.
