Our first food stop of the trip and it started on a high note! Adorable place, right in downtown. The drinks came first and they were HUGE with a little rubber duckies in them which made me just over the moon! We split the fish sandwich and onion rings which was more than enough for two people. The sandwich was incredible, Pittsburgh Style, with coleslaw slaw and fries, and the onion rings were also just the best. Not a huge place and it wasn’t busy at the time we went but may get busy later. Staff was very sweet. Prices were great. We loved it here.

The sandwich has a perfect balance of flavours, and the meat is up to your liking. The size is pretty generous, so I’m glad we only ordered one set and a side.

The host was pleasant, he tried to answer everyone’s got us seated quickly! Jackie was my server, she was friendly, prompt and attentive. I had the Almost Famous trio with the Colossal Fish sandwich, onion rings and a drink for less than $20 bucks! I enjoyed outdoor covered seating with plenty heat. The food was delicious and came out hot and fresh!

One of the better ruebens I’ve had and by far the best one I’ve ever had that wasn’t grilled.
The slaw and fries on a rueben are normally sacrilege, but the sauce just blends it nice!
Pastrami was fantastic!! Friend ordered the wings, he was very happy and they looked delicious!! He ordered naked , so I’m not sure how they normally come but they were great!!
Service was on the spot and super friendly, I feel bad for not remembering the young man’s name but , thank you sir!
Got really busy about noon, we got there at 11 and it was easy to get a table for 6.

My favorite sandwhich is “when pigs fly”. Ordered it today and it was perfect. My boyfriend ordered the PB Rueben and he loved it. 10/10 hit every craving! Service was top notch as well!

Wow. The pastrami was piled high, complete with slaw and fries on top of the sandwich. This thing is HUGE! The wait is long, but so is the beer list. So grab a beer while you wait and enjoy the atmosphere.

Just go. It is not only a tradition while in Pittsburgh, but they do a great job serving filling comfort food. They have been at this since 1933, and have multiple locations – so they have to have it right. I would agree – with the exception that the option of having the amazing bread used on the sandwich’s toasted is missing. Tastes change, toasted bread should be an option. Staff were having fun with each other and each staff person was accommodating and friendly. Good selection of beer and DO NOT be afraid of a sandwich that has fries and coleslaw included.

This place completely took us by surprise. We met a guy from Pittsburgh that recommended us trying Primanti and we got there close to closing but they made our sandwiches to go with the best attitude ever, even tho it was almost closing time. I had The Capone and I had never had a sandwich THIS good, it was gigantic and so flavorful, would highly recommend.

We had a pastrami and kielbasa sandwich. Both were very good, meat was flavorful. Put a little hot sauce(provided) on the kielbasa. Good service. Construction going on right outside there door when we were there. There was one at PNC park.
