Primal Cuts Rodeo 72 – Rodeo Public Market
Reviews
This our first time giving this place a try, it is inside a food hall called Rodeo 72 in Whittier, CA. We were not sure what to expect, maybe something close to our standard family restaurant type steaks, maybe? We find these steaks elegant and delicious, and pricey too, we’re not kidding but it was worth it; my husband had the 12 oz rib eye with Cowboy butter along with asparagus, mine was the filet mignon with truffle butter also with asparagus. We should have ordered one asparagus because we could have shared it and two beverages. We were surprised and yet pleased with our meals. They may look small, but they are mighty. We would recommend to friends and family to give it a try. Staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions, wonderful service too.
Customer service is also great. I gave atmosphere is not good or bad. It all depends on how you like being around people and the noise.
I really love the way they season the food specially the asparagus! Everything right on point.
Primal Cuts delivers a modern steakhouse experience with a serious focus on quality—and oh my it’s my favorite eatery at the new Rodeo 72. Meat? Top tier super juicy. Customer service? Efficient yet palpably nice. Sourcing? Sustainable from small family ranches. You can taste the difference… chef’s kiss.
I highly recommend the ribeye cooked medium, paired with their cowboy butter—it has a subtle sour tang with bright lemony notes that elevate the richness of the steak beautifully. For sides, don’t miss the mashed potatoes and mushrooms—both are simple, hearty, and full of flavor.
Soooo…… Whether you’re a steak connoisseur or just in the mood for something indulgent, Primal Cuts is a must-try at Rodeo 72. Premium meat, perfect execution, and a truly satisfying meal.
It’s a little pricey, but what isn’t these days? It’s worth the amount.
Grab a bigger and watch the game at the bar next door!
My favorite part was actually the mushrooms cooked in beef tallow. I tried them before the burger and was pleasantly surprised by the richness.
