Cute little pizza shop with an extensive menu. Their wings are the best. Loved the garlic parmesan ones. Also tried the fried calamari which were not bad. Absolutely need to try all the different specialty pizzas but we decided on doing half and half this time. We chose half white clam and half vodka margherita. Both were insanely good. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Now for my standard comments. Location is well kept and clean. Decent amount of seating indoors. Very comfortable. Good sized open lot as well with free parking.

I went here after my friend recommended this place and seeing the high reviews. Honestly not even that good. We got White, Champlain, margarita, and vodka. All slices were pretty average and nothing really stood out. At most I would give average pizza but nothing to crazy.

Easily the worst pizza we’ve ever had….
Prima used to be our go to 2 years ago and has progressively gotten worse every time. We hadn’t ordered from them in almost a year and decided to give it another chance out of convenience. It was beyond disappointing. We ordered a plain large cheese and buffalo wings. The pizza was room temperature even though it was picked up on time. It looked over cooked with darkened sauce, congealed cheese and a darker crust even though it was ordered as cooked “regular” It was very dry and literally tasted like cardboard as it was completely stiff/stale. It was as if they reheated an old pie from the day before it was that bad. I would take a $1 slice at a NYC bodega or Pizza Hut/dominos over this pizza any day. Bad pizza is an understatement. Save your money, time and appetite and order anywhere else.

One of the best pies in central jersey. The texture of the crust is near perfect. The Margherita has a bit too much garlic for my taste, but still very good. So far, my favorite has been the Champlain pie. The wings are excellent too

Prima has been a staple for us since we’ve moved to the area. Staff has always been friendly and pizza is always great. If you’re a thin and crispy type of person this is for you. If you like your pizza on the doughy side this is not for you.

Great service here. Spent time talking to the owner and the pizza cook. They were great. Great pizza here too. Recipes you don’t find anywhere else. Great environment as well. There’s a private nook area for your eating pleasure. There is even a niche corner in the restaurant where they have a bookshelf filled with crayons and things. Additionally, they have a tall vending machine option for beverages. Make sure you try out this pizzeria out the next time you crave something Italian. Buon appetito!

My favorite local spot for pizza. 9/10 times this place is excellent, with the occasional pie that comes out a bit doughy.
Standouts include the Grandma Vodka and the Eggplant parm slices. Love the complexity of their Champlain pizza too but I find that the sauce is a little salty for my taste.
Underrated as well are the buffalo wings- a 12 piece order includes generous pieces of chicken that are fried well and drowned in sauce (which I prefer, but may not be for everyone). Finally, there’s the 2 cheese slice + fountain drink combo for $3-4, which may be the best quick eats deal in town.
Definitely give this place a try!

Like many great places, sometimes you just stumbled upon them. We were visiting a family member in the nearby hospital and were starving. We stopped at the closest place which was Prima Pizza Kitchen. Their pizza has a great crust on the bottom layer, and the top is just cheesy, tomato goodness. We also ordered the ziti and meatballs and the eggplant Parmesan. They were both super delicious and authentic. In addition, the portions were pretty generous. I would highly recommend this place if you like fresh ingredients and really yummy pizza! There are plenty of tables to either eat in or dine out.
There is with her accessible parking, as well as restroom facilities.

This pizza is AMAZING. I even ate it the next day, cold and it was still so delicious. Hot and fresh pizza is generally pretty good so a true test is cold, out of the fridge the next day. The crust is the perfect thickness to be satisfying, thick enough to hold the pizza that you can grab it and hold with 1 hand but thin enough that you’re not eating all dough. The sauce is rich, flavourful and very garlicky. We got the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe pizza which was so so good. The broccoli rabe was a perfect pairing to the sausage, which was savoury and not too spicy and not too sweet. The Champlain pizza is a winner of the best pizza in central NJ, rightly so and don’t let its simplicity fool you, it highlights the sauce, cheese and crust perfectly. You must try this place.

Pizza in the central Jersey area doesn’t get much better than Prima Pizza. Perfect ratios of cheese and sauce along with a delicious crispy crust. They are the go-to spot for catered pizza meals in our office and it never disappoints. Plus you can’t beat their incredible lunch special at the shop! If you’re trying to decide where to order from, just stop now and go with Prima – you’ll be glad you did.
