Love this small Italian restaurant/deli. They have the freshest ingredients and best mortadella. Their sandwiches are all amazing! They have a nice happy hour which changes daily. The only draw back is that they are next door to a cigar bar so outdoor can be unbearable if you’re asthmatic.

This charming neighborhood Italian deli and café is an absolute gem! The happy hour is amazing, and they offer both outdoor and indoor seating, making it perfect any time of day. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Their menu has a fantastic variety of savory and sweet options—everything we tried was delicious. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy great food, and soak up the cozy, cheerful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in South Fifth of Miami Beach. The food is exceptional, featuring high-quality Italian cuisine made with fresh ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the lasagna and eggplant Parmesan, as well as the delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread. Our waiters, including Vanessa, provided outstanding service, enhancing the overall experience. They also have a charming market offering unique Italian items. I highly recommend this delightful spot for a great coffee, breakfast, or a simple yet satisfying dining experience.

We are extremely lucky to have this little Italian jewel in the neighborhood surrounded by upscale restaurants and beautiful living spaces. Plus it helps they have the best Italian coffees in the neighborhood at great prices. Don’t forget it’s not called FIRST CLASS for nothing.

Update: I stopped in briefly to purchase bread and had a positive interaction with the staff. They recognized me, listened to my feedback, and apologized for the prior experience. I appreciated that acknowledgment and will continue to visit, as Prima Classe is normally a 5-star experience. I hope this reflects continued improvement.

[Service receives zero stars]

We sat outside and I briefly came inside to look at the pastries before ordering. The waitress immediately pointed me back outside without listening, and I had to explain that I was just browsing the pastries.

After paying our initial check, we came back in to order cold cuts. Ordering took a long time, there was no offer of a receipt, and we waited with no communication about delays. When we finally asked how much longer it would be, we were met with attitude and told there were “a lot of tickets ahead of us,” with no apology. This would have been helpful to know when we ordered. We live across the street so we could have easily come back if they would have informed us of the delay.

When the order was finally prepared, it was handed to us abruptly and unprofessionally. While the restaurant was moderately busy and appeared to be handling a catering order and training staff, the lack of courtesy and communication was disappointing.

I’ve visited Prima Classe many times and have always had great food and service. This experience was completely out of character. I’m giving this visit 1 star, but past visits have been 5 stars.

For management: A little communication, expectation-setting, and customer courtesy would go a long way—especially during busy periods. I hope this was an off day, as this is not the service I’ve experienced here before.

Follow-Up to Owner’s Response: This is not a fake review, as there was a large catering order this morning which was clearly impacting the staff. Thank you for providing your email address — I will reach out separately.

It took them 45 minutes to make a takeout turkey sandwich, which arrived with a side of hair. No one bothered to mention this before I ordered.

Prima Classe is one of the few true neighborhood spots in South of Fifth, which I really appreciate. The food is solid and hits the spot, even if it doesn’t totally wow. Biggest downside is the service, which can be very slow, especially when it’s busy. Still a good local go to.
