Most comfortable bar chairs ever. The bar is beautiful inlaid wood. Sirloin burger was tasty and well prepared. It took us a minute to charm the bartender. Colorful and salty signage. I don’t like cussing so I could do with less of that.

The club sandwich was excellent. Crab Rangoon pizza wasn’t that good. No taste to it. Boring. Crust was very thick. Small bar , best go during the week. Minimal parking.

Best Darn Burgers Ever!!!
…I will be dreaming about them for till I go there again, lol! Thank you for the awesome food & friendly service! This place is a MUST if ever in town! You WILL NOT be sorry!!!
…thank you to the owners as well… …this was an old hangout of my Grandfather’s. About a year or 2 ago while in there, I seen a cribbage board my Grandfather made for the previous owner (Ron & Barb) when it was known as The Little Muskie bar. She freely gave it to me and told me it belonged with me. Cried on the spot…. Cannot thank you enough! By chance, if anyone whom owns one reads this, please contact me if willing to sell as our family has been seeking them out for years. Check the pics…. backs are signed. 262-271 Three Four Six One…. THANK YOU.

First visit to Preuss’s PUb – on a recommendation from D at Leisure City. We enjoyed the our first visit to this iconic, kitschy Northwoods original bar. It’s small and intimate – the bar seats 10-12 at the most and the front dining area seats about the same. Looks like there is a nice outdoor serving area that overlooks Little Musky Lake – we plan to visit next season. Check out the decorative, wood inlay bar – very cool. Our bartender served up a couple of Wisconsin classics – Brandy Old Fashioneds to start our evening. Tasty, but not the best…We ordered from the bar as our waitress arrived and got herself settled, she was friendly and accommodating – she made our visit comfortable. “She” tried the pan fried walleye, and I tried the “Friday Fish Fry” – both served with house made baked beans and creamy cole slaw, lemon wedges and rye bread – the food was tasty indeed, some might think a little pricey for the atmosphere but we really enjoyed the intimacy of this classic Northwood’s Pub/Bar/ Restaurant. Since it’s so convenient to Hwy 51, Hwy 70E (right across from the Plantation and Kwik Trip) , Minocqua, Arbor Vitae, Woodruff – I think this place often gets overlooked as you speed by towards Manitowish Waters and Boulder Junction – I know that’s what happened to us. We’ll definitely be back to give the outdoor area visit – instead of zooming by on Hwy 51, stop in and visit Preuss’s for a visit – I think you’ll enjoy the hospitality

Ingredients were fresh. The burger was ok. Pricey for what you get. Service was average. Atmosphere wad a 2.(I don’t like it when businesses display political things. BIG TURN-OFF). I just want to relax and enjoy some conversation and decent food. Not be bombarded by big political displays.

Awesome place! No frills kind of place that’s cozy and fun. Great service, simple menu but the burgers are to die for! We took our little kids and the staff was great at accommodating an early order for them. Would recommend!

Nice, friendly service and great food. We enjoyed a Chicago hot dog and burger. Nice selection of tap beers.

They offer great pizza with some unique flavors – big fan of crab rangoon, and chicken ranch rocks, too. Also, solid burgers (not best ever, but perfectly respectable.) But just pack your patience and plan to enjoy a beer while waiting for your order. I can’t recommend the mixed drinks, but there’s enough on tap or in the cooler to hold you over. A Northwoods bar worth visiting with a food menu that has some treats.
