When I’m in Russel Square, this is my go to coffee shop. There are many seats, and the glass architecture is very nice!

Truly a good Pret A Manger, located in front of Russell Square. The staff is very kind and competent, Daniel , the Barista is brilliant.and the environment is quiet with calm background music. It’s great for business meetings and gatherings. There are plenty of croissants, and I recommend the fresh daily baguettes, such as egg and avocado or salmon baguette. The cappuccino is good. Toilets also for wheelchair, really clean, Recommended.

Just wanted to say thank u to the lovely staff who worked Thursday the 18th December. The weather was filthy myself and my brother in law had just left the hospital..the younger chap helped him get seated and grabbed towels to dry him and the young girl grabbed me a load of tissues to dry ourselves..they came to our table twice to check we were OK. My brother in law has severe parkinsons..they showed us that the milk of human kindness is still out there .so if you guys are reading this I just want to say thank you so much .merry christmas and God bless you both ..best regards Cheryl

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. The sandwich I had was a bit dry, but it was the end of the day and the sell by date was today. Overall, a perfectly fine Pret.

Runs like clockwork on low staff .

Shoutout the blonde hair lady who wears the cctv thing cause she was everywhere and so calm and elegant . Shoutout barista w piercings so kind , always smiling and always everywhere cleaning when he has free time

Disgusting toilets though. Absolutely rank. Stinks. Is a mess. The Thames was cleaner when London was hit with the bubonic plague.

Doesn’t seem like a staff issue but a plumbing issue.

With a view of the amazing Russell Square and the exotic Kimpton Hotel building, this London coffee shop has the best location, by far. Besides coffee, they offer a wide range of fresh organic meals, too. Highly recommended!

Large selection of fresh sandwiches and salads, pleasant service, good atmosphere at reasonable prices.. Choose a sandwich or salad and a drink yourself and order at the counter. Large chain with many branches in London.

COUNTER AND SEATING AREA
Food delicious. Drinks, piping hot. Pleasant atmosphere; airy and bright. Comfortable arm chairs and stools. Clean.

TOILET
The toilet is dismal. Today, when I visited it, it smelled of a public male only public toilet. The floor had clearly been urinated on, as was the toilet seat, though an hour there had been a flick of a mop. Usually there are two toilets, though from what fellow customers tell me, it’s been out of order for a week or more. There was no toilet paper, and no sanitising hand gel or paper towels for drinking washed hands. The toilet cubicle was uncomfortable to use, having to avoid the urine on the floor and on the seat, with no way of cleaning/drying the latter.

I spoke to the duty manager about the toilet and I was told, ‘we are very busy and we don’t have time to ensure it’s kept clean. I was told it gets cleaned 3x per day.

The fact that the counter staff’ are kept very busy, cleanliness of the toilet is given little/no importance. I suggested Pret A Manger get someone specific to maintain the toilet clean, ‘throughout the day’. The answer, ‘you need to contact Customer Service’ about that’. I told them that I would. And I certainly will.

The lady serving was really rude, I presume she is the manager. Didn’t smile, was blunt.
Whilst waiting for my order, another lady took my tea over to another gentleman waiting and when he declined and said something that sparked some recognition in her, she greeted him and ran off with him chatting leaving my drink there.
There was one good lad working, friendly and polite… that eventually gave me my tea.

Place was messy, wouldn’t come back. Food on the seats, hand prints all over the windows. Rubbish left out.

The manager needs an attitude check or maybe just not work in hospitality?

Crikey, the sandwiches have shrunk since my last time in Pret in 1997. Prices seem as unreasonable now as before. Must be an age thing. Just got a coffee. Good coffee …
