Cool spot…low key during weekdays and great bar to have a good drink and convo. Service is good. I only rated 3 because we didn’t need much and had low interaction with bartender. We were served in reasonable time, drink was made well, nothing to complain about…but nothing stood out either so I went with 3…just know its neuteal and not cause anything was wrong.

Press and Pony is a great place to meet the girls. It is definitely decorated for Christmas and the Bar Masters know what they are doing. Get there early as it fills up quickly. There was a line before opening. And once the are full, you will have a wait. Nice way to start off the holiday season.

I love this bar. Every time I visit Boise, it’s a must visit, for a lot of reasons – the quality of their drink program, their hospitality, the decor/vibes, great music, I could go on…

Very fun, so glad we went. We arrived 5 minutes prior to opening and there was a line. We got the last available seats.

Press and Pony is a relaxing, intimate bar. It is located in a shy location to the right of a sports bar. Enter through the doors, go through heavy curtains, and you are immediately transported to a bar that seems caught out of time. Time almost seems to stand-still in the dark and mysterious interior, with cool vintage photos and decor.

The drinks were solidly good and might lean a bit more heavily towards things that might appeal to a more traditional palate. (It would be nice to see a few creative non-alcoholic drinks added to the menu.) I had a Ginger Drop which was a fun, tasty little cocktail.

This would be a lovely spot to unwind and relax with friends or a romantic evening out for a date.

One of my favorite spots we went to in Boise. Loved my cocktail, the service was so great. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and mixology.

Definitely stop here

Never have I been to a bar that not only served amazing drinks, but I learned about the top things Idaho is known for, a detailed history lesson of Basque culture, a great Capt Hook interpretation, and a wonderful overview of local bars and sites to see. Thanks for such a great time, Erik!

Nice little place. Love the atmosphere. At the entrance is a curtain you have to walk through. Bar on the left, couple small tables on the right. And a few more small tables in the back. To get to the bathroom you have to walk through a curtain in back which leads directly into the Boise Fry company for their bathrooms. Love the original drinks. Some were very involved to make so it was fun watching them being made. I got the Blood and Sand which was one of the sweeter drinks.

Great speak easy in down town Boise. Don’t be afraid to go through the curtains. What’s on the other side is a bar that feels like cheers, everyone knows your name m, unless it’s your first time. If it’s around Christmas make sure you get the Hot Buttered Rum. It will make you get in the spirit and feel like home.
