My husband has raved about this place for some time now but I didn’t think much of it. As a result, it took me until now to try it. Boy, was that silly of me!

The place was clean, bright, and modern. Our server was very attentive and patient. And the food? Well, the picture speak for themselves.

We will definitely be taking advantage of the take and bake option as some point. Great experience!

When visiting Renton, there are some signature restaurants to be sure. One of these to be on your list, is or should be, Premier Meat Pies (or PMP)

If the name sounds familiar, they have locations at the very touristy destinations of the Seattle Center Armory (i.e. Center House for us old school folks) on the historic Seattle Waterfront.

Owned by Nathan and Karen Bainbridge, PMP inhabitants the strategic and beloved location in Renton’s Downtown area on 3rd Avenue and Main. This is the spiritual homebase of the PMP brand, and Renton residents, and diners, are glad its here.

Their unique pies are formed by hand from machines that are, literally, over 100 years old. But PMP puts their own modern twist to the classics.

They have both savory and sweet pies.
I particularly enjoyed their Guiness Sheppard’s Pie with a generous portion of mashed potatoes and lager based gravy. A tasty side salad is recommended to keep you honest as you cleanse your palate for other offerings.

Adult beverages for your order? Along with being available in their main dining area, PMP has a special bar area with screens available for local sports broadcasts! Need a cocktail?? Specialty spirits along with a few choice microbrews on tap.

How about a dessert pie? Well you must enjoy my personal favorite of their berry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream.

In all, for its very efficient space, this place is a destination, a local hangout, date night location, and fancy sports bar.

Come on down for pie, and a premier experience!

One of my friend went to New Zealand and that got me thinking of meat pies I had there.

I ordered Steak and Mushroom pie and coffee with. The pie was:
1) Freshly made. They made their pies in behind the window in the second photo
2) Ingredients are great quality: The beef was not chewy and fresh, mushroom is smaller buttoned mushroom I think? Either case the mushroom is not mushy (forgive the pun) and held itself well
3) The taste: Gravy got great taste and I think good beef stock was used in there, with mushroom adding more of the savory flavor into it;
4) The pie (crust): Fluffy and crispy as it should, its a great pie that one would want to enjoy holding it in their hand and bite into it. Granted, it might be messy, but the pie taste great when biting into the stuffing and pastry. The whole pie held up well as I was devouring it.

I would love if the pie can be bigger, but the quality definitely made up for it.

I have lived in Renton for 6 years. I have wanted to try this place since it opened and we finally went tonight. We recently had a baby (4 months) so it’s hard to find a place to have a meal and a cocktail with a baby. I ordered the espresso cocktail ($18!). Seattle priced for Renton.. (come on).. we had the sausage rolls and the Mac and cheese pie… like so mediocre for the price! The pastry was dry. The atmosphere of this place is cute, I really wanted to be impressed. The waitress was amazing but for the price this place is just ok. Maybe it was just an off night.. staff was great.. but product lacks..

The highlight was the space, diverse menu, and the drinks were good. The rest not so much. I ordered mash and a caprese with bread. Got a caprese “salad” (mozz balls with no flavor and tomatoes) instead of the breaded appetizer. Mash came with beef gravy I couldn’t eat and wasn’t supposed to be there based off pictures and menu description. Drink came overflowing and the cup sticky. Shepherd’s pie my partner ordered was dry. When they replaced the mash (not the appetizer) they took the fork and left me sitting for several minutes with no way to eat it. Server had to have us repeat ourselves several times while ordering and spent most of the time leaning on stuff looking at his phone. He took the mash off the ticket which was at least appreciated, and I noticed he entirely forgot to even put my partners drink on the ticket. Inattentiveness is costing both the venue money, and the customer satisfaction. Won’t be back due to it… which is a bummer, because the drinks really were good.

First time at Premier Meat Pies in Renton—and what a find! Street parking only, but I lucked out with a spot right near the entrance.

I tried the classic Scotch pie with mashed potatoes and gravy. It wasn’t the crispiest crust, but the savory beef, rich gravy, and creamy mash made every bite super satisfying. The tomato basil soup was comforting and flavorful, and the cherry berry pie with fresh blueberries was the perfect sweet-tart finish. Both the pie crust and the dessert crust are a little undercooked. I wish it had been a little more crispy.

Shoutout to Susie for her warm, friendly service—she made the experience even better. Cozy, clean, and relaxed vibe. If you’re in Renton and craving something hearty and homemade, this spot is a must!

Went to the soft opening to try some of their pies.

Ordered a couple of drinks, the Steak and Mushrooms Pie (the best thing we had), the Curry and Lamb Pie, the Sausage Roll and the Apple and Peach Cobbler (second best thing).

Everything was great but the service was even better. Our server was attentive and funny.
We asked for some whipped cream for our dessert pie and he brought it back up with a nice presentation.

Overall we spent about $65ish for two people.

Ambiance is very nice, booths are super comfy. It’s a cute and cozy little spot.

Absolute pie heaven in Renton! We brought the whole family and everyone left stuffed and happy. The flaky pastry is perfection, and the fillings are incredibly savory. Don’t miss their daily specials. they are always a hit.
The vibe celebrates local and global futbol, as well as sports closer to home. they have amazing local drinks to wash it all down. Whether you’re stopping in for lunch or taking a few pies home, you have to try this place. It’s a total gem!

Food, drinks, and service we’re all outstanding. First, the decor is welcoming and comfortable. The long list of specialty cocktails has something for everyone and they are both fanciful and delicious. The meat pies and toppers are just the right size to satisfy, and with perfect crispy, decadent crusts that stayed crisp throughout. The Irish stew was one of the best I’ve had, and the bangers and mash was as good as any you would get overseas. Highly recommended. A fantastic new addition to the Renton Downtown!

To add, they have a fantastic happy hour menu, and rotating daily specials. Kids eat free on Mondays, which is pretty great if you have a family.
