This place deserves much higher ratings! The gentleman who served us was kind and helpful in making our selections and saved me from ordering too spicy. The Samosa Chat appetizer had a good presentation, the spices and slighty sweet savory flavor was delicious. The chick peas were cooked just right, not too hard or soft. The rice that came with our entrees was so good alone I didnt want to mix it with my curry. It had whole cloves and other whole spices/seasoning, a buttery flavor, and light and fluffy texture. We had the Aloo Paratha, you could actually taste the whole wheat bread flavor with a hint of toastiness. We also ordered Punjabi Kadi (veggie fritters in yogurt curry), Chicken Korma, Mango Lassi and Chai. It was all good.

We have had good experience in the past but this time was real bad. The recipes are nowhere close to being authentic and on top of that, when I complained, they actually justified the preparations! They didn’t even use the correct ingredients. Sadly if someone is eating Indian food for the first time, they will not even realize that this is not authentic Indian food. Please try elsewhere before trying this place (if you really want at all)

This has been our date night spot for over a year. Amazing food, with an authentic feel and taste. I’m always sad to see how empty it is, because the food is truly amazing.

The food is good but portion sizes are tiny, prices are high, and service is poor. Everything is small here: the main dishes are small, the naan is small. My wife and I both ordered dishes that came with a side of rice but we received a paltry small dish of rice. They charged us an outrageous $4 for a tiny plate of extra rice. The waiter had never heard of puri and was confused when another customer ordered it, despite puri being on the menu. We were still hungry when we left and had to go spend more money on dessert elsewhere.

This review is for the lunch buffet. Excellent price. It was less than $13 including tax. It might have even been less than $12 including tax, but I don’t remember.

This is a great hidden gem in Fairfax for authentic Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, and one of the few restaurants that carries the culture along with their flavors. For those of you weak to spice or seeking out a good spicy dish without loosing layers of flavor this is the place. Every dish can be ordered at different levels of spice without loosing out on flavor.

Best avoided. Should have opted for a fast food Mexican/American chain for snacks.

Very disappointed with the food. The manager messed up my order making it super spicy and then served it with a raita which is rancid! On top of that, the audacity to tell me to bring the food back and show them. Disgusting. Never going back!

The food is absolutely spectacular, and the service is incredible–their professionalism, attention to detail, friendliness and pride taken in the job is unrivaled. They have a wonderful selection of vegetarian dishes, and the Chana Masala was probably *the* best I have ever had, and my friend says their Butter Chicken is the best of any he has ever had. It’s clear that whoever is in their kitchen is not only very good at what they do, but they also take great care and pride in their dishes, as the front of the house staff is clearly invested in the presentation of their space and the care of their customers. I heartily recommend this restaurant, and will absolutely be returning. Thank you, for a wonderful dining experience!

We have liked their food in the past. But recently had a bad experience. The recipes were not authentic. They take shortcuts and just change the recipes so that they can whip up food quickly. On top of that, when I complained, the manager actually justified that this is a better way of making the food. Please do not think their food is authentic in anyway. You’re better off trying another restaurant.
