Rented an Igloo for Valentine’s Day
The experience was cute, it did get a little warm with the sun shining down on us but at least we weren’t cold❄️
Food was good! We had a Margherita pizza, queso and pico de gallo appetizer, strawberry shortcake martinis, and a chocolate lava cake. Drinks were strong.
Server was a little strange, we asked for napkins and she came out saying that we didn’t tell her that we are a messy couple, neither of us appreciated that.
Besides the strange server, the overall experience was nice!

It took us awhile to come after they opened because we saw the menu on line and we thought the menu was too small and pricy. We Love Rocky tops! Which we hit every Thursday, But We’ve been eating here regularly lately for some reason even though our thoughts about the menu have not changed. We both have some dietary restrictions me mkstly and so I can’t eat 85% of the menu and so I will go somewhere I know I can eat for sure before some place I know I’ll only be able to get 2 things. I’m not to keen on the BBQ sauce and that they only have the one. Which is why we don’t order a lot of smoked food their. My husband loves his variety of BBQ sauces and does not like ketchup and he says that’s all he tastes in it so he won’t order anything with BBQ sauce, so we avoid it all together. I’m not a fan of the chicken it’s very dried out but I’ve found that to be a problem at every smk house. With exception to the wings. Over all the restaurant is very nice! Small but nice and friendly. I’ll be back just not as often.

Love the cute waiting room upstairs! Had a drink up there while we waited for our table. They smoked our old fashions! So cool!
Food was absolutely bomb!! The coleslaw on the pizza?? Wild! Bruschetta and salad were so good! Not picture: praise to the nachos and sliders as well!
The only suggestion I’d have is maybe offer a black bean nachos for the few vegetarians out there like me? Either way, coming back regularly! Love this bar!

My husband and I stopped off at Prates Place in Grass Lake on our way to Kalamazoo, and we’re so glad we did. It’s located in a cute downtown area with great charm and ambiance. We chose to sit at the bar, where the owner chatted with us and made us feel truly welcomed—you can tell he takes pride in offering excellent customer service.
The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, with great options that go far beyond your typical bar menu. The whole place has a fun, craft-cocktail vibe while still feeling warm and inviting.
Highly recommend this charming bar-restaurant—what a great find!

We were able to try Prates Place for their soft opening and it was Amazing! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food and drinks were Amazing. We had the Old Fashioned and Coconut Margarita ( a must have) and the BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza was Delicious. This is going to be a great place for friends and family to gather!

Ist timers for my hubby and I. They had a Founders event (which we are big supporters of) and what an amazing place! Taylor, Matt and Ava come to mind of creating an amazing experience. But not only them the customers were like family. What a great experience! Passing through town on our way to somewhere else, we realized we were hungry. Saw the sign for Prates Place and my traveling companion said, “Wanna try here?” So we skidded into a parking space and went inside. We were instantly enveloped in welcoming charm with a wisp of smoky outdoors. The bar and restaurant were gorgeously designed and I realized that this was a place where a person could spend a lot of time. Then there was the food. It. Was. Amazing! Each bite was better than the last and hit just right. Naturally, we sampled each other’s specials and shamelessly overate. Our server was so friendly and wished us safe travels and an invitation to come visit again. As we turned our car towards somewhere else, we said to each other “I am SO glad we stopped there!”

Got the chance to visit Prates Place for the first time tonight, and can’t wait to go back. Such a great addition to Grass Lake – a cozy, inviting, family-friendly place to grab some great food and drinks. Our table had the breadsticks, bruschetta, tacos, nachos, and bbq pizza – all were fantastic and great portion sizes. Can’t wait to make this a regular place to visit.
