The store itself is super cool — they have a little bit of everything! All of the workers were great except for the girl who checked us out at the very end; she was rude, which was disappointing.

Otherwise, it’s definitely worth stopping by. Everything we purchased had samples available and was absolutely delicious. The bathrooms were clean, and overall, the experience was really good.
Great place to use the restroom and grab a snack.

Stopped here on our way to Austin to try something different than Buc-ee’s. It’s a large store with a huge selection of fresh and smoked meat products, as well as other groceries and items.

The Czech bakery was a bit of a disappointment. The bread selection, was underwhelming, mostly just sliced sandwich bread. Also I was hoping for fresh kolaches, but being wrapped in cellophane doesn’t give that fresh feeling. That said, the poppyseed kolache and strudel were a nice touch, something you don’t see very often. I did buy the poppyseed strudel and must say it is delicious, tasting very authentic—full of poppyseed filling perfectly balanced with the dough.

We ordered a Reuben sandwich, which was quite greasy, and Prasek’s klobasa, which sounded better described on the menu than it was in reality. The sausage itself was great, but I wish it had been served on the better bread promised, rather than a soggy hot dog bun.

One suggestion: in addition to the gas station, it would be great to have EV chargers, which would make it more convenient for travelers with electric vehicles.

Prices very reasonable. 4 private family restrooms including toddler-size toilets. Great food! Entertaining for a family on a long road trip. Even better than Buc-ee’s!

Good place to stop and stretch your legs during a road trip. Shopping area and grocery mart. Stopped by to eat BBQ because of the great reviews but we were very let down. Ribs were juicy and tender but tasteless. Brisket was sliced wrong so couldn’t eat it. Squash was delicious though.

Prasek’s Family Smokehouse really gives off “Buccees meets Bass Pro Shop” vibes. It is way bigger than you expect, super clean, and honestly just fun to walk around in. The BBQ is really good, and while you are waiting or eating, there is so much to look at and explore. It feels less like a regular restaurant and more like a little Texas experience. Definitely a cool spot to stop with family or friends.

So many wonderful things to say about Prasek’s! CLEAN, quiet, friendly, convenient and no chaos compared to other places. Worth the stop just off the highway. Easy on, easy off and big rig and RV friendly!

Stop in for a quick snack like a kolache or a klobasnek (pig in q blanket). There are fresh pastries and donuts as well. Don’t skip on the coffee. It is brewed fresh!

Bakery staff – kind to some tall white people right next to me not so much to me …
Still really like this store, maybe the lady at the bakery was having a character building day…

On a recent road trip, I made a much-needed stop at Prasek’s, and I’ve got to say—it’s even better than I remembered. First things first: gas. They’ve got plenty of pumps, which is a relief when you’re running on fumes and racing the GPS.

Once I fueled up, I headed inside and whoa—Prasek’s has had a glow-up! The store is bigger, brighter, and packed with everything you could want for a road trip break. Clean, modern bathrooms? Check. Coffee, drinks, and snacks galore? Check. A legit meat market? Oh yes—and it’s every bit as good as folks say.

I grabbed some cannoli (because why not have a dessert at a gas station that’s actually famous for its food?), and it was awesome. I couldn’t resist grabbing a slice of cake to go, and that too was a winner. If you haven’t been in a while, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Whether you’re gassing up, grabbing grub, or stocking up on smoked meats, Prasek’s nails it. It’s more than a convenience store—it’s a Texas road trip legend.

If you’re in Texas, trying the brisket is an absolute must. Known for its rich barbecue tradition, Texas brisket is unlike anything else. The one I tried was incredibly tender, with every bite practically melting in your mouth. The smoky flavor was perfectly balanced. It’s clear why Texas is famous for its brisket! Totally love it!

Absolutely loved the family restrooms. They had 4 of them and had little toilets for the little ones. Super clean restrooms also. They had a cute boutique and a fish tank. My kids had a great time looking at all the fish. They have a great selection of snacks and beer and turkey jerky.
