We wanted Thai and chose this place due to the reviews and menu choices. We got a warm welcome and soon got menus and drinks.

The old chap who must be the owner explained a bit of history about the place and about the menu so we settled down to choose our food.

We were a little surprised that the starters were just priced as single items but we knew that we would make up for that with the main meals.

We chose chicken satays and spring rolls to start which soon arrived and the chicken was really tender with a very peanutty sauce. The spring rolls were good but very hot!

We then asked for a Pad Thai without prawns, Green chicken curry, Beef Massaman curry, Chicken with cashews and Chicken with Basil and Chilli plus two large steamed rice between five of us.

The dishes turned up when they were ready but without too much time between them. There was very little to fault with any of them with each having their own distinctive flavours and we ate everything with relish. We were divided between our favourite dishes as they were all very good.

Once we were finished we were offered a complimentary Port or Baileys which was good and we asked for the bill which came to just under $220 including drinks so we gave them $240 to include a small tip for the staff.

As we left the owner thanked us profusely for the amount of tip that we’d left as he said that they were often left $5 or less which seemed a bit mean but we’d only left what we normally would back home in the UK and it was all very well worth it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will try this place again one day.

The best thing about this place is the lady behind the scene…Pranee! Other than that, her so called partner is a cheese ball. He’s the one that takes your money, yells at his staff, talks down to Pranee all with used car salesman grin on his face. Best of luck to you John…not!! Won’t ever step foot in your restaurant again and sorry Pranee

Was a hot night and the air conditioner was not working very well. It was very noisy with two large tables of chatting customers and since the place is small, we could not hear each other talk. The food was tasty but weird having to order entrees as individual items. The old gentleman, we presume to be the owner, was not happy when we asked to pay for our dinner separately. I guess he had to use actual maths and carry out two separate transactions. He also did not hide his frustration giving us an obvious shake of his head. Not great customer service in that respect. Not sure we’ll be back to dine in, maybe just get take away.

Excellent service. Nice atmosphere with plenty of seating. Toilets available. Limited parking out the front however side street parking is very close. Food was good however I found it to be a little pricey given its not a flash restaurant. Servings are not large.

Was greeted by the hostess and told us to take table 4. Obviously lost because there were no table numbers and she pointed which table it was. Gave us the menu and waited 15 mins for table service. Saw the hostess and waiter were chatting away. I had to walk to the counter to order my food.
Food arrived in no time but no to the standard that I was expecting. Tom Yum soup is basically the paste that you can buy in any asian grocer store. Pork ribs was solid hard and the only real winner here is the Omelette.
Paid $90 for this together with 2 large bowls of rice and Thai coffee. I regret spending my money here and I do not recommend this place. There are way better restaurants out there.

Compare with other Thai restaurants, The portion of dish is a little bit small

Strongly recommend to try the coconut ice cream and special fried rice

I recently dined at Pranee Thai Restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their Lemongrass Seafood with steamed rice. The dish was cooked to perfection and the flavours were spot on.

Additionally, the chef took the time to come and check in with me to ensure that my meal was to my liking, which added a personal touch to the experience.

While my food did take a little longer than expected, I was not bothered as I had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

The highlight of the meal, however, was the unexpected and almost comical moment when it came time to pay and the restaurant had run out of all their EFTPOS printing paper. Luckily, the shop next door had some spares laying around.

Despite this small hiccup, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai food and great service.

Really like the food here, quite a lot of kick to it (spice level) and it has been made with authentic spices. Decent quality meat and food not greasy. Nice homely little restaurant. Very friendly staff, there is a little man who comes over to everyone to make sure they are happy.

In a world full of corporations that swallow you up spending your money in a family run restaurant is always the go and this family run restaurant is a beautiful place with so much heart and soul and great food! I’ve come here a few times and always felt so welcomed. When I was waiting for takeaway, I was offered a free drinks. And that’s the kind of service that fills above and beyond
