Reviews
The old chap who must be the owner explained a bit of history about the place and about the menu so we settled down to choose our food.
We were a little surprised that the starters were just priced as single items but we knew that we would make up for that with the main meals.
We chose chicken satays and spring rolls to start which soon arrived and the chicken was really tender with a very peanutty sauce. The spring rolls were good but very hot!
We then asked for a Pad Thai without prawns, Green chicken curry, Beef Massaman curry, Chicken with cashews and Chicken with Basil and Chilli plus two large steamed rice between five of us.
The dishes turned up when they were ready but without too much time between them. There was very little to fault with any of them with each having their own distinctive flavours and we ate everything with relish. We were divided between our favourite dishes as they were all very good.
Once we were finished we were offered a complimentary Port or Baileys which was good and we asked for the bill which came to just under $220 including drinks so we gave them $240 to include a small tip for the staff.
As we left the owner thanked us profusely for the amount of tip that we’d left as he said that they were often left $5 or less which seemed a bit mean but we’d only left what we normally would back home in the UK and it was all very well worth it.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will try this place again one day.
Staff amazing friendly especially The owner and Pranee we all we given 2 complementary Baileys
Highly recommend going there 5 stars
Food arrived in no time but no to the standard that I was expecting. Tom Yum soup is basically the paste that you can buy in any asian grocer store. Pork ribs was solid hard and the only real winner here is the Omelette.
Paid $90 for this together with 2 large bowls of rice and Thai coffee. I regret spending my money here and I do not recommend this place. There are way better restaurants out there.
Then we came to Pranee Thai restaurant
Not too busy on Sunday
Excellent customer service
The senior gentleman is very friendly and nice
We are very appreciated his help and conversation
We ordered Pad Thai ,green curry chicken and special fried rice
The price is good and we are surprised that there is prawns with pad Thai and fried rice
Non alcohol drinks are cheap too
Only one thing
Compare with other Thai restaurants, The portion of dish is a little bit small
Strongly recommend to try the coconut ice cream and special fried rice
We will come here again soon
Thanks
Additionally, the chef took the time to come and check in with me to ensure that my meal was to my liking, which added a personal touch to the experience.
While my food did take a little longer than expected, I was not bothered as I had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The highlight of the meal, however, was the unexpected and almost comical moment when it came time to pay and the restaurant had run out of all their EFTPOS printing paper. Luckily, the shop next door had some spares laying around.
Despite this small hiccup, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai food and great service.
