I just stopped to get a snack while passing through. The sign said a bag of cracklins was six dollars. Cracklins Usually run about $25 a pound. The lady said the bags were 8 ounces and I told her I did not want that much and I asked if I could purchase a smaller bag. She said I could buy 3 to 4 ounces. I told her I wanted 4 ounces. When she rang me up, I handed her a $20 and she handed me $10 back. That would mean your cracklins are $40/lb. I felt this was dishonest and I don’t think they were very good. Do not recommend.

We have stopped here in years past and everything was so good. The cracklins we got were overdone and disintegrated in your mouth. Beef jerky crumbled and that’s not what a person wants in jerky. Everything we got is going in the trash and we spent quite a bit.
I think it’s a new owner. I asked the guy and he said no he’s the owner and the lady works for him.
Whatever the case may be- we won’t be stopping again. Idk how an owner can sell such low grade food.

Not worth the drive!! We have purchased cracklings from this place several times in the past. Even drove an hour to purchase because they were so good. But after the drive today I will not be making the drive for cracklings any longer. They are not the same cracklins we’ve gotten in the past, they do not taste anything like the ones previously these have seasoning on them the other ones tasted like old fashion good cracklings these are in the same boat as all the other cracklings that people are selling which we don’t buy. It’s almost like they are under different ownership or management!! Guess we will have to search for another cracklin place!!!

Very small building, inside feels a bit cramped. Cracklings were very hard, chewy, and didn’t taste fresh at all. Store merchandise is high priced – $30 for a t-shirt.
