The food was fantastic, with generous portions that really hit the spot. The drink special was a standout—you could taste the fresh apples, which added a refreshing twist. I can understand why this place was voted best tenderloin in the past. Mine was fantastic. While it’s not the same diameter as a ’71 Ford LTD hubcap, it’s thicker and juicer than most Iowa tenderloins. The meat, not the breading, was the star if the show.
The burgers are also fantastic, the Reuben was very good, and someone at your table needs to get the onion rings!

Heard really good things about the onion rings , but unfortunately they came so overdone and so coated in grease like they hadn’t been drained I couldn’t eat them.
Service was so so. I was there with a big group though and they were busy.
On the flip side , everyone that ordered the tenderloin said it was great.

I’ve been here a few times now but this was my first time trying the infamous Tenderloin Sandwich. Full disclosure, I rarely like anything breaded & fried and even I liked the Tenderloin . We also ordered a Burger & Fries and I have had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich here before that was delicious. The food has always been obviously fresh, well constructed and yummy with equally good and personable service. I definitely recommend making the jaunt out to try them if you are going to be in the area.

Kind of disappointed. Tenderloin was meaty, but lacking in flavor. Ordered a drink and it was not made properly, mostly water. We really had high hopes for this place, but we’ll probably not return.

Very delicious food and an incredible staff. Many gluten free options. I’m talking burgers and fries and fried tenderloin. All gluten free with a dedicated fryer (upon request.) It’s celiac friendly! Sooooo good! I highly recommend.

Had the breaded pork tenderloin basket with slaw and fries after my 6+ mile hike at Backbone State Park to see the fall colors. The tenderloin was top notch! Coleslaw was creamy and the fries were not salted to death. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The dining area was well kept also. Keep up the great work and I will be back again!
