Stopped for an early dinner after a rainy tour of NW. Excellent attentive service. Had the very flavorful trout and veggies, family ordered asparagus soup, mini crab cakes and tacos, Key Lime pie was also tangy and good. Good craft beer tap and bottle/can selection. Multiple seating areas, dining areas are downstairs, sidewalk seating per weather. I assume there is an elevator for accessibility.

First time here and we can in from the far western suburbs. While the basement setting and atmosphere wasn’t necessarily inviting or full of ambiance, we’re sure the night life in there makes up for what’s lacking for those who get into nightlife. We were there to experience the soft pretzel and other foods. The pretzel was warm and soft with two great sides. As a pretzel connoisseur, my husband said it was one of the best he’s ever had! I had the catfish nuggets. While good catfish has been hard to find, Prairie Moon did the job with this appetizer. Deliciously prepared, not too much batter and a super fresh flavor. The house made tartar sauce was on point too! We’ll definitely be back.

Great food, unfortunately very mediocre service. My dining partner thoroughly enjoyed his shrimp & lobster diablo style pasta, and my blue cheese burger was fantastic. If the server had found her way back to our table during our dinner, she would have discovered that a soda refill would have been nice, and I probably would have ordered another stout from the draft, which went perfectly with my burger. Oh well. Maybe next time we’ll get a better server. But the food was delicious & we are looking forward to trying more items from your terrific menu. Take a tip from someone who worked in the industry for four decades: train your servers to be more than an order taker and to at least “check back” sometime during the meal to ensure all is well and/or if anything else is needed at that time.

This place is fantastic! Great energy, decor, lighting. Music was always great stuff, very 70s and 80s oriented. The food and drinks were delicious, and the menu is big and bold. Will require a few more visits, personally.

I haven’t been to Prairie Moon in years. I was pleasantly surprised the great service and great food hasn’t changed over all this time. I would describe the place as laid back and cool vibes.

Solid restaurant. Nothing amazing or special, not the best meal I’ve ever had. But kid friendly, cute inside, nice servers, and good food. What more could you ask for?

This was a great place for Happy Hour. We were leaving for a concert at 6:30, so we got some food and the four of us shared some oysters. I was visiting from Cincinnati and it was a great place to catch up with my college friends.

SOME of their staff aren’t not very “friendly” as the restaurant market. I would avoid being served by the older (salt and pepper haired) gentleman which is usually outside in the evenings. Both times that he served us, he was really rude to us and the service was slow except for when we asked to pay. I usually don’t complain about service or restaurant staff because I worked in this industry for years and know it is rough, however this level of service was to the point of disrespect. His rude service and terrible attitude now soured two evenings at this establishment because we came in good spirits but left feeling bad because we were being talked down to and disrespected. This is not a review or reflection of the entire restaurant as I am sure this one server doesn’t represent the whole. I hope that this server can try to be more welcoming to future patrons so their experiences don’t end up as sour as ours.

Outdoor dining was perfect and the service was even better. Very kind, friendly, accommodating, and professional. Menu read very well and was almost too good to be true. Food was good too. I don’t think the food tasted quite the way the menu represented it though. Mild in flavor if not almost flavorless. Presented well and we had a good time nonetheless.
