I moved back in with my family, maybe a whole 2 minutes away from Prairie House Tavern, and I feel so lucky to be so close to such a lovely spot 🙂
Jaime was such a good server. Seriously. She treated me and my dog, Storm, so well from before we even arrived. I called ahead to ask if the patio was open and dog-friendly, and she gave me detailed instructions on the best way to walk in with her. Jaime provided a water bowl for the pup right off the bat and was so friendly towards me and my anxious dog!
Impeccable service, a pretty and cozy patio despite it being 20 degrees outside, and great food.
Thank you to all the staff!!
(I also absolutely adore the Tuesday night karaoke here. They’ve got a great KJ hosting weekly :))

What a hidden gem! I love the different seating options – cozy in the bar, bright and open in the four seasons room, and also a beautiful beer garden with couches and a fire pit. Lovely and clean atmosphere. Great for families or date night.
The new owner has cleaned up the place and added a bunch of really nice landscaping. Love it!

The Bartender on Tuesday was very rude. Will not be back. Some great places around here and I heard the food was good. She could not have been more annoyed with just bringing drinks.

Excellent location across from the train station. We sat on the deck off the bar. There is also a patio on the ground. Huge fans provided a breeze. The drinks were well mixed. Fresh cut fries, Excellent bbq and a great sliced beef sandwich. Price is reasonable and quantity is filling.

I went here for lunch with some friends. I had never been here before and I can safely say that I will never return. It was a rainy day so we ate inside. There were only 2 other tables occupied so the bartender/server shouldn’t have had any issues however that wasn’t the case. First, the one and only ladies room had no soap. The bartender/server was a woman so we asked her for a soap replacement. That took over an hour and multiple asks. Next, the ketchup bottle was empty. No big deal. We asked for a replacement bottle. She proceeded to unscrew the bottle and opened the lid with her teeth! Thankfully, I skipped the ketchup. Finally the food was mediocre at best. The best part about going here was the story about the ketchup bottle opening because everyone I know has been told and were all appropriately horrified!

Visited the place 2 weeks ago. Place is SUPER clean and SUPER cozy. Basically it feels less like a restaurant and more like a laid back hangout place. Food is SUPER DELICIOUS, portions are acceptable. The prices however, are a bit higher than I was hoping for. For example I had to order a coleslaw separately (for extra money) from my burger. But the QUALITY of food is SUPERB. And you can hang out there as much as you want AFTER you eat. Nobody will kick you out. Great place, great food, great atmosphere. If their prices would be 10% less I would call that place a PERFECTION. WILL go there again. Go dine there with full confidence. Oh yeah, staff is VERY VERY friendly and helpful.

What an absolute pleasure to have hosted my husband’s birthday party at PHT. The owner Spiro was a delight to work with. He and his staff made sure everything was seamless and helped in every possible way.
The food was delicious , all my guests enjoyed the food and the ambience. It was a perfect place to host and celebrate my husband’s birthday.
