We have been here since 1989, providing great food and cooking for the locals; and always looking to take it further. We are all foodies at heart and have been doing it since the early 1990s. We love to cook, and we love to put great food that’s good for you on your plate. We only offer food from the 50 States that we live in. From our Iowa pork- to our Texas beef, and our Mississippi catfish. Here at the Prairie House we are really proud of that. We bring America and Texas to the plate.

The atmosphere was so cool, we went on a night they had live music and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. The prices were definitely on par with the quality of food. The drinks were delicious. They had a good selection of beer as well. We will definitely return and try more menu items. The desert was top-notch!

Stumbled upon this place for the first time on a random road trip. I was hungry and decided why not check it out. We had to wait about 10 minutes for seating which is ok. The place overall had a awesome early 50s/60s western atmospheric. The food was ok, not great. Ordered an appetizer of their Bandidos, which were pretty small, pricy, and kinda burned. The only thing that saved them was their bbq sauce. For my main course I ordered a burger

Not bad. Got there a little late, so we couldn’t sit and fully enjoy, but the staff was wonderful. I loved the smiley face fries and the fish was very good. Green beans needed just a few more minutes, but overall I left full and satisfied.

Came here on a whim since my friend wanted steak. It’s really nice inside and feel very welcoming. The ambiance is very nice as well.

I went here with my dad for breakfast, wasn’t busy at all. We were immediately greeted and seated. The staff was very nice. We both ordered The Homestead. The food came out fairly quickly. I wasn’t impressed. The pancakes were extra thick but dense. for me personally if I eat thick pancakes I want the light and fluffy, not so heavy, but the flavor of them was good. It was a decent sized meal. Eggs weren’t anything special just some scrambled eggs with cheese, the sausage patties were not good at all, seemed like they were reheated. But I would come back again the regular food looked delicious!

Overall, good appetizers and drinks. Steak was underwhelming. Ordered medium rare came out well, sent it back, and the the next one came out more well done. Cleaely the cook is too distracted or to green to know how to cook meat. Prepare for disappointment with the steak.
