Ok, liked the food. Though I found my new favorite restaurant. My favorite was the potato taco. They give you three taco with no beans or rice for 10 dollars. I was willing to pay that. Went to order again and price jumped to 15 dollars for 3 potato tacos if it came with something I could justify it.So I called to see if maybe they raised pricing because they were adding rice and beans to plate. I was told no they just raised pricing. Okay everything is expensive but 15 dollars for 3 potato tacos is too rich for my blood. I can even see them raising it a dollar or two but 5? On another occasion I order grubhub. I was missing 1 taco. Person who answered phone said she had to ask cook. She came back and said they said they gave you three taco. I was why would I waste my time calling you. She said we’ll you have to come here with the tacos so we can see it. I paid grubhub so I didn’t have to pick it up and she wants me to leave work and drive to show them a missing potato taco.. It looked like someone ate a taco honestly. Maybe grubhub driver did it. But their solution didn’t make any sense I would of spent more than the whole meal if I left work, drove there not to mention the amount I already paid for food and tip. I let that go because everyone makes mistakes. I will keep looking for good service with reasonable priced food. I dont mind paying for good service and food but this makes no sense unfortunately.

If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go to in the area. Very friendly from my first interaction with everyone. Their menu has all the Mexican staples that you are looking for. I came for the pozole verde. Their combination of green broth, pork, and hominy is excellent. We were even given some red and green tamales to try out and oh my gosh are they thick and tasty, especially the red ones. The picadoras they make are also a great option. They came well prepared with red or green salsa and the masa itself was toasty on the outside but cushiony soft on the inside. My wife also ordered tacos de asada, al pastor, carnitas, and barbacoa and she thinks they did good flavor wise. The carnitas were a lil dry but tasty. Their aguas are pricey but you get a fresh large fill. Definitely will be coming back again and again just for the food alone.

I saw good reviews about this place and being new to the neighborhood coming from Chicago I was a little nervous about “good pozole” but let me put your mind at ease. The pozole here is fire ! I’ve eaten here a few times already and order pozole to for pick up quite often.
Also BE ADVISED: There is a GROUPON for this place and I take FULL ADVANTAGE! it’s a great deal. I recommend checking this place out. It is fairly priced and clean.

Came here for the pozole and quesabirria, and left very full and contented. The food was a total comfort like a good home cooked meal would deliver. Ordered the pozole verde that came with generous amounts of pork and hominy corn that has undergone the proper nixtamalization process where the corn splits. No canned stuff for sure. The quesabirria was very good. Meat was tender and the consommé had good body. Rich decadent flavor with every bite. Best of all, prices was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Decent enough resturant but if you really hungry or looking for amazing taste…not here. Arrived to an empty resturant that looked like for the small place it is. Took 3-5mins to get menus and right away asked for drink orders, I didn’t even get to look at the damn menu! They served chips and salsa along with a small bowl of black beans, even that was somehow off. Food was not amazing rather bland for my taste. Water was the only decent thing there, served in a mason jar. Server was nice but didn’t bother to follow up after order was taken and bill payed. Wanted to try out the amigas restaurant but was told same owner, not sure if its true or not but not interested.

First time being there and I loved the food and drink. I love pozole but did not get any because they only serve pork pozole. I don’t like pork that much. I tried the picaditas and the 3 fried quesadillas with potato. They were good but the best is they coconut drink. Omg! It’s delicious!!!! Looks like milk but it’s coconut drink.
The round ones are the picaditas, homemade and the half are the quesadillas with potatoes fried.

Really great pozole! Love the inclusion of the chicharrones, it adds a great contrast in texture and flavor to the dish. The salsas are unusually good too.

Tacos de canasta dinner if you call it in it’s $14.99
On DoorDash it’s $11.99 with a medium coconut drink $4.99
$22 for this meal that honestly should cost $7.99
Pack of a dozen tortillas. $0.59
1-2 smashed potatoes $2
Rice $1.59 for a pound (I probably got a scoop)
Can of beans $1 ( probably a scoop/ watered down)
Ridiculous for something you can get from 18th street for $1 a taco .
5 tacos rice and beans . Tacos aren’t even stuffed .
Order off doordash or at the very least the person taking the order should give you the total after placing the order .
I only paid for it because I hate wasting food and didn’t want it to go to waste .

By far the most insulting experience in customer service. I had not seen the reviews until I came on here to write my own and it seems like I am not alone. You would think they would start to get the hint. We placed an order online for pick up, but then decided to sit down and eat at the restaurant in order to have the full experience and be able to order more food (which you would think would help their business). We called to ask if it was okay to do that, and the lady who answered said yes and sounded pretty nice. So we show up to the restaurant. It was just my husband and I, and we were pretty courteous and thanked them for changing our order to dine in. The woman who was there looked like she was annoyed from the beginning. We sit down and they start to bring our food. The woman comes and brings only part of our order, and made it a point to inform me that my condiments are being served in a plastic container since we changed our order after they had bagged it. I told her it was not problem, and I feel like my husband and I were kind and pleasant to everyone there. I then notice two errors with the first one being that we got charged $3 for tacos, when it was a Wednesday and they had the $1 taco sale. This is not our first time coming here. The second issue was that my drink did not come out. So I got up to inform the lady about these two things. Before I could finish, she interrupted me and said that they did not have the drink that I had ordered. So apparently she was just simply not going to give me an item that I paid for, not inform me that they were out? I asked her what other drinks they had and took one of the ones they had. As far as the charges for the tacos, she again interrupted me to say their online system charges the full price for tacos and is not updated yet for the sale so there was nothing she could do and I could take it up with the manager. Taken aback by her rudeness I asked if she could refund the money and just place the order again, or if she could find a way to help. She refused and again interrupted me saying that was something only the manager could do. I asked her for the manager’s information and the woman actually had the audacity to walk away as I was asking her. At this point my husband got involved and asked what was going on. I told him what happened and he asked one of the other waitresses for the manager’s information. I also asked for extra limes since the 2 they gave me had no juice. The second waitress was kind and said she would get the limes, and ask about the manager’s info. It looked like she was new. Next thing you know I hear the other woman loudly tell me from behind the counter that she was going to charge for the limes because my order was already complete and paid for. We again asked for her to come to our table and I told her to get me her manager’s number. She said she could not give me the number. I said yes she could and she ended up getting someone from the next door restaurant to come over to talk to me. I explained the situation but I don’t even think that was the actual manager, nor anyone who cared to do anything about the situation. I do not know what happened with this woman but it was as if she made it her mission to be as disrespectful as possible and I know that I was more patient than a customer should ever be. I will see it that every social media platform and review site sees this. And I will tell everyone that I know.
