I came back after they’ve gotten new ownership here and had the same experience as years ago. The service was rough and tumble, made me feel like I was a doof at one point. I did tip too right in from of one dude, no thanks given etc. That’s all fine so I was hoping for good burgers. They were hot, just not my cup of tea, yuck. They’re affordable and small, but for me I didn’t want to finish. Not coming back here, not recommended.

This is my first visit since the new owners took over. (I live an hour away)
I think the new owners have done a fabulous job.
The entire building was crisp and clean, friendly staff, but most importantly the sliders were just as I remember with that nostalgic onioney yumminess.
The fresh cake looked amazing although I didn’t have a piece and apparently they now offer fries!
I am thankful this Fort Wayne landmark has been preserved and hopefully will make it another 80 years.

Powers was quite a nice late night stop. It has tons of atmosphere as a late night diner, and I was able to sit at the counter with many others. It’s a small space, but customers are constantly coming or going. I just ordered several cheeseburgers, and they were just what I needed at that time of the night. They had plenty of flavor despite their diminutive size, and they were worth every penny. It’s easy to see how a place like this has thrived as long as it has. I hope it continues to do so for many more years; I’d love to stop by again someday.

A must try when in Fort Wayne. The service was good and the food can’t be beat. I also ordered the malted milkshake, which was delicious.

Used to love this place and I just left. My burgers aren’t hot and neither are the single slices of onion they put on there. Hopefully this was just a one off and not an example of what they’ve become since the renovations. The pic shows that the patty is 1/2 the size of the already tiny slider bun. Used to get heaps of onions and a hot burger 🙁

I wish I would’ve caught names of the crew that worked today; they were absolutely slingin burgers and taken orders! We got there right before a little rush; every guest was greeted that walked in and orders promptly taken. Fantastic classic sliders, clean establishment, friendly and quick service. Two meals plus tax and tip under $20 (in this economy)…What more could you want in a nostalgic burger spot?!

Powers Hamburgers is a great local spot with a lot of charm. It’s small, but that adds to the experience, and the service was quick—I was in and out in no time. The food was good for what it is, though the onions were a bit much for me, and the chili was a little sweeter than I prefer. That said, those are just personal preferences. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a classic, no-frills burger joint.

This little wonder is fantastic. I ran across it while in town. I was surprised of how busy the place was. I went in ordered and was served quickly. All the food was made fresh to order. The flavor is exceptional. This is a hidden or maybe not hidden gem. I never heard of it prior. If you’re close and don’t check it out you’re missing out.

Today was the first time we went there since the new owners took over, the taste of the burgers was off and not very good like we remembered from before it was sold. The taste of the chili was off as well and also too spicy hot for me, we did not enjoy our food so it’s very doubtful that we will ever go back. However the gal behind the counter was very nice and friendly and gave a great conversation.
