Don’t judge a restaurant by their looks or location. We came here for the first time on a Friday after work. The place was full. Two people were working up front, were working super hard. Even being busy and taking care of many to go orders, they were very nice. The food was outstanding. One of the best meals we’ve had in Portland. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and decorations this place is not it. If you’re looking for an outstanding Chinese meal you’re at the right place.

This is absolutely unacceptable, because I found a staple in my food (young chow fried rice). It was almost the same size as a grain of rice and practically invisible unless you looked closely. This shouldn’t be in the food at all, and luckily I didn’t swallow it.

The food here is always delicious, and the chef’s skills are excellent. Today, we decided to try some dishes we hadn’t had before. We ordered Steamed Clams ($22.95), Sesame Beef ($21.95), Sautéed Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce ($17.50), and Seafood Crispy Noodles ($14.50). Each dish was quite generous in portion, and they all came with rice, so we were absolutely full.
Personally, I liked the eggplant the most. As for the seafood crispy noodles, the version at East Harbor is much better. The beef had a strong flavor, so having it with rice was a must. The clams were actually quite large, more like hardshell clams, and since the sauce was simple, it might get a bit monotonous unless shared with a group.

What a fabulously delicious restaurant. I’ve been here several times over the past 10 years and the quality is top notch. Fresh seafood (live tanks, even), spectacular traditional Chinese dishes, and very good service. Best for large groups so you can order family style. ^^)

Really great food with big portion sizes. The fried rice has that authentic wok hei flavor iykyk and the honey garlic spareribs were delicious. I also got the fried whole crab which was $45 for those who want to know. I’ll definitely be back

This was a go-to for years with my family. Korean Mama put it back on the spotlight lately. I do not agree with her fondness of this place after trying it again. There’s a reason we stopped going. Average at best. Great people.

We ordered sesame beef, fried rice, and salt/pepper squid. Each plate is enough for two people, so it was good. I would come back. They have a parking space behind the restaurant, and there should be ample space on the side of the road if the lot is packed.

Tried them twice based on good reputation. Everyone has “off days”. The owner seems nice but he was the only one. From a customers perspective it’s like they have “regulars” and aren’t looking to expand on that. On one of the orders the beef vegetable dish was admittedly very good but that’s one dish out of 4 and rude service sticks out in the memory faster than any food experience.

The fried crab has an interesting flavor, lots of work to open the shell, but it was fun. I think it was around $55, not too expensive for a big crab.
I really liked the veggies, delicious! Haven’t had veggies tasted that good for a long time.
Pepper squid was ok, a little dry and hard to chew.
