Great local spot! We drove across the country and this place had it all for us. Food, spot for the kids to play games/color/bowl and they had a wide variety of food! The owner was working super hard as well!

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Powder River Lanes in Broadus, Utah, flips the script on what we expect from a ‘restaurant’. Nestled in the heart of this small town, this place might not look like much from the outside, but inside, it’s where the magic happens.
Walking into Powder River Lanes, you’re immediately hit with the nostalgia of stepping into a time capsule. The decor? Imagine if the ’70s got stuck in a time loop. But it’s not just about the ambiance; it’s about the food, or rather, the experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food. If you’re expecting gourmet, you’re in the wrong place. But if you’re looking for something that’ll make you laugh, cry, and question your life choices, you’ve hit the jackpot. The strawberry rhubarb pie? An adventure in itself. One bite will make you question the very fabric of reality. It’s not just bad; it’s spectacularly bad. Think of it as the culinary equivalent of a horror movie; you know you shouldn’t look, but you can’t help yourself.
The service? Oh, the service. Imagine being served by locals who’ve seen it all and have decided they’ve seen enough. Their gruff exterior might seem off-putting, but give it a chance. You’ll find a kind of rough charm in their interactions, a reminder that not all hospitality is polished, but it can still be heartfelt.
And then there’s the bowling alley. Yes, you read that right. Dining at Powder River Lanes isn’t just about eating; it’s about the whole package. You can enjoy your meal while watching locals bowl, or even join in. It’s like dinner theater, but the actors are unaware they’re in a show.
In conclusion, if you’re in Broadus, Utah, and looking for a dining experience that’ll stick with you long after you’ve left, Powder River Lanes is a must-visit. It’s not for the faint of heart, but for those who appreciate the absurd, the quirky, and the downright bizarre, it’s a five-star experience. Remember, sometimes, the worst can be the best in its own unique way.

This place was so friendly and fun! The server was helpful and had great suggestions on what was the locals favorites. The food and bowling was extremely, extremely fair priced, it has a cute little arcade with darts and a pool table. The soft serve ice cream (also a recommendation from the server) was delicious. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I fully anticipate visiting again!

I stumbled into this place after exploring a bit in Montana. I fell in love, service was awesome, I had the Reuben with marbled rye. How wholesome I felt here. I took a picture because it was a beaut. But I accidentally deleted it.
Take some time out of your day to go back in time and absorb the moment at this diner!

Great place for the family. They have bowling, dining, a few arcades and electronic gambling machines. Food can be pricey for what it is but it is decent, just nothing to write home about. Only place in Broadus you can have a meal and something to do with the family. Hours of operation can also be precarious. Owner was more than accommodating and would definitely go back.

Was a quick stop for bowling so that our six year old could get out of the car. No bumpers but expected since it’s so small. Great price and nice employee. Our only complaint was that their computer system was difficult to figure out, followed the instructions a few times and could never get it to work but it wasn’t important since it was more to get out of the car. 🙂

Dropped in on our travels around the area. I had the chefs special burger, which was OK but the bacon was charred black. One odd thing cutlery was hard to come by, it wasn’t brought with the meal, but found some forks over the other side of the restaurant but no knifes. No coffee refill offered
