I wanted to like this place so hard. So much vegan I couldn’t stand it but truth was everything was extreme lacking flavor big time. Not only that the service was awful, one woman behind the counter was so rude I couldn’t believe it. Legitimately got mad at me because the music was LOUD and she had to repeat herself ONCE giving me the access code for the bathroom between the music and her accent I literally had no idea what she was saying and guess it’s rude of me to ask her to repeat it. I was super shocked at her behavior. The over all vibe of the restaurant was crazy cute, but I would not eat here again based off of food and service.

Loved our meals, especially Mongolian beef with broccoli.
You order on iPads and then watch the chefs cook you food from a distance, so it’s not really a hospitable experience… but the place has nice vibes and you don’t have to tip a waiter ‍♂️

Absolutely the best vegan fried chicken we’ve ever had – crispy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The dumplings and sauces were also outstanding, full of taste and clearly made with care. Portions are huge and perfect for sharing. Everything was prepared quickly, but still tasted fresh and well made. We loved it so much, we came back a second time! The dish in the photo is their amazing fried cauliflower – a must-try on the menu. If you’re looking for bold vegan comfort food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

When visiting downtown today, Pow Pow was a convenient option. I was pleased with the menu, prices, food quality, and portions. The manager even came out and asked if we had questions, and offered to let me sample an item to test its spiciness. All of the staff were friendly. It was a good experience.

Everything I ordered was made fresh to order and served hot. The portion sizes are VERY generous for the prices. In fact, I couldn’t finish the regular size bowl, but that may have been because I also ordered the Thai coconut soup (which was delicious with a nice spice kick) since I had never eaten here and didn’t know what the actual portion sizes would be. Even meat eaters would be satisfied here as the vegan proteins taste really good and mimic meat in terms of texture and chew. I went for a late dinner (about an hour before they closed) and the restaurant was still about half full of all their tables.

A strong suggestion is to ensure the kiosks allow customers to request NO CILANTRO for those of us who find it tastes disgusting. The only way I could cover this need was on the name I put on the order was to add “NO CILANTRO” after my name, and then also to get the attention of the staff making the food to ensure they knew to omit cilantro. Other options are on the kiosk to omit/add items, not not the option to select omit cilantro.

My daughter took us here today as one of her favorite vegetarian lunch spots. It was fantastic. It was all good but especially liked the Disco Stick Giant Egg Roll. If you’re vegetarian it’s a great place as you can’t go wrong with anything.

I very frequently come here when I’m in DC. The food is delicious and presented wonderfully! It’s also quick. They have great unique sodas and deserts too. I’m happy to come here anytime I’m in town.

Woah! Vegan or not – this is a must try in DC! Their whole menu is mouth watering. Even dining alone I had to order more than one dish and opt for leftovers; I’m so glad I did. The flavors are decent and balanced, the textures are satisfying (crunchy, creamy, dreamy), and the staff is very kind. Cannot recommend this spot enough! Go and go with people to order as much as you can!

We were doing the DC museum tour for the kiddo’s spring break and had a few spots bookmarked. This was our first stop and we were off to a great start!

Note: I miscalculated my parking reservation location and we ended up walking 28 minutes to get here. Needless to say I was so hungry I could eat a (plant based) horse!

Firstly, the menu online is thorough but they have plenty more options on the touchscreen kiosks-enough to get overwhelmed with indecisiveness (a good problem). So as usual we over-ordered so we could sample plenty!

Firecracker Cauliflower to start- everyone loved this and it was fully consumed. Not too spicy so the kids can eat it but lots of flavor.

Crispy Lemon Parm Brussel Sprouts – these were okay and while not entirely finished- I think its moreso because we had plenty of other food at the table. While I love a crispy brussel sprout, I prefer a soy sauce over the lemon stuff.

Chickn fingers- (teriyaki) – by far my favorite dish. I think they make their chickn in-house and these were perfectly tossed and not drowning in sauce. I have no idea what the accompanying dipping sauce was supposed to emulate – it didnt have much flavor- but honestly not needed. Very crispy and dense texture with a great teriyaki sauce.

Chkn rice bowl- same fingers as above but without sauce and on top of rice with grilled veggies. It was a brown rice which tasted poor (as if instant out of a box)

Mongolian beef n broc-I believe they use meati- the mushroom based beef. Noodles and veggies were great and could be eaten on their own! Jury is still out on the meati product line.

Overall, loved the menu options and the fact the entire menu is plant based (note I didnt say healthy)!

Super kind staff and I could see they were all hustling but still being attentive to all customers.

The place has no service at all, you order on a tablet and get yelled at when your food is ready. The food is extremely greasy, my noodles were literally swimming in a pool of oil, and the cauliflower appetizer was drenched in so much vinegar that I tasted nothing else.

Worst food I’ve had in DC so far …
