Tonight the restaurant was full of several Christmas parties and patrons. Our server, Sara, was great… checking on our drinks and any needs we might have while we waited. Service was tremendous. Salad came out quickly. The appetizer and entrees were hot and delicious. Kudos to all at the Pour Haus staff and ownership!!

Atmosphere and service are still great at this restaurant however I have noticed a change in the food I will say it has been about 3 years since I have been to this establishment and my understanding is that there’s been a change of ownership. My main issue is the burgers, when I had eaten here before they were big juicy handmade patties and you had a choice of how well you could have it done but when I went today, I did not have a choice of how well it was cooked it came out well done and it seemed to be a premade patty the likes of which you could get at the grocery store and it was under seasoned at the price point of $17 for this quality of burger I don’t think I will dine here again unless over all burger quality is improved If quality improved however I would be willing to pay I higher price for the burger as I understand the price of goods have gone up over the last several years.

They had awesome food. The service was quick and attentive. Family atmosphere with a cool vibe. Awesome Catfish! And the beer list was two pages long! We’ll return for sure!

Food was a bit overcooked and the wraps were mainly tortilla. The service was great and the atmosphere was good, but the food was subpar and honestly, you’re probably better off going elsewhere for the prices being charged. Potato Skins, California Wrap with Chips shown

We hadn’t been in a few years and were suprised they no longer brew craft beer. My husband had the reuben which for some reason was on white bread? He’s German so that didn’t go over too well. My oldest son had the filled, it was so, so. My youngest had chicken tenders, no complaints there! My fish was tough around the edges and not very good. Will not be back. Also there was an 8 yr old kid bussing tables…..is that even legal?

Early dinner. No waiting we seated immediately. We had eaten here before and the food is typically very good. Tonight we had two appetizers, The spicy cheese nuggets, and the pretzel with beer cheese. Both of which were served promptly and were delicious. The wedge salad was delicious and huge. I had ordered the prime rib cooked medium rare with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. When it arrived, it was way overcooked. Almost 3/4 of it was well done.
At $33 a portion, I would expect a little better attention to the cooking process. The baked potato and steamed broccoli was fine. But the prime rib was almost inedible. I did tell the bartender about it when he came to the table and he said he would tell the cook. I hope this can be corrected. They have a nice variety to the menu, but as of right now I would Avoid anything that is cooked to order. At least the dog will eat well this evening.

Excellent place to stop for a bite and soak in this little city on the river. Got the smoked turkey sandwich, baked potato skins and a side salad. Delicious. The only thing on the turkey sandwich could have had a little more of the smoked turkey on it. Kinda thin. The atmosphere is amazing. No live music while I was there, but they have a great set up for it!

Another place I always visit when going home

Pour Haus is always on my list when I’m back in town. Great food, great service, and a welcoming, low key atmosphere that feels like it was built for catching up with old friends or just grabbing a solid meal and a cold drink.

I’ve been here for lunch, dinner, even breakfast, and it never disappoints. The menu has everything from bourbon bacon cheeseburgers to country style biscuits and gravy. My kid loves the “I Don’t Know” chicken tenders off the hilarious kids menu, which sounds like it was written by a parent who’s been through it. They even have a dessert option called “Won’t Stop Crying.” Genius.

The beer is cold, the portions are generous, and the staff is always friendly without being overbearing. Bonus points for the historic brick building and that Tell City water tower watching over everything like a Midwestern guardian angel.

If you’re in town and don’t stop by the Pour Haus, you’re doing it wrong.

We ate at the poor house today and the food was indeed poor. Period my wife had potato skins and they were burnt, when we sent them back, the manager discounted her meal 10% which meant we got $1.49 off the bill. I ordered chicken Alfredo and the Alfredo was so dry. I had to order a side order of the sauce to put on. I don’t think we’ll be eating there ever again.

Amazing place to eat! We have eaten here twice. It was my 62nd birthday and all the food they brought was perfect! The sweet potato fries were thicker and had good sweet potato on the inside! Amazing! Every time we go to Patoka lake we come down 37 and eat at this restaurant because it’s well worth the trip. Then we drive back to Evansville afterwards.
Three years later, 2024 this place has changed hands. We now live up in this area and we go to town at least once a week. The quality and the service has went way downhill. We do not consider this restaurant on our list anymore since it has changed hands some of the stuff we really liked was deleted from the menu .
