I recently ordered a jerky chicken bowl, and while some parts were good, the overall experience wasn’t great. The beans, pico de gallo, rice, and chicken were all fresh and tasted well-prepared, which I appreciated. However, the entire bowl was extremely spicy—far beyond what I expected. I normally have a very high tolerance for spicy food, but this was overwhelmingly spicy to the point that it took away from the enjoyment of the meal.
Because of this, I’ll be staying away from the bowls in the future. If I decide to order from here again, I’ll stick to the pizza instead.

In one word. Terrible. Had the wings. Worst I ever had. Done in turbo chef oven or something. Skin rubbery. Not good. I left 3 of 6. The “watchos” which are waffle fries with beer cheese and bacon were also terrible. Fries not cooked enough. Was a soggy mess. Then there was the Caesar salad. Not impressed. Supposedly they have good pizzas someone said but the topping combinations were just wierd. One involved putting lettuce on it after it was cooked. Overall the place looks like someone spent the least they could on co vetting an old building into a brewery type restaurant. All food served I. Paper plates, bowls, etc. Plastic forks…and the cheap kind. Broke 2 eating a salad. This place is for beer drinkers who don’t know how to cook and who don’t know what good food is. We didn’t finish anything but the bloody Mary’s. And they didn’t have hot sauce. Who makes bloody Mary’s and has no hot sauce. Also everything is self serve. You have to go to a counter to order and have to pay beforehand. Why I tipped I have no idea. They didn’t do anything. And this little restaurant is inside of the brewery so you have to have 2 tabs. Ridiculous.

It’s nice to have this as a food option inside the goose and monkey. My kids love it, because it has pizza and nachos etc., and by “kids” I mean my 20-year-olds!
I enjoy it because there are a few things on the menu that are not so heavy. Sure, I love a pizza with a beer, but it’s nice that they have bowls. I’d like to see a couple of other protein options, such as shrimp or fish. That would be fabulous on some of their bowls. Just some grilled shrimp added to any of their bowls would be great! With some other protein choices. Some tofu. Some sort of Jamaican jerk chicken or Caribbean spiced chicken. A few new proteins would go a long way to updating some of their bowls. As it is now, I feel like I’m always getting the same option.

Family friendly, if your family can hang. We went out exploring with 4 of 6 of our kids (4mo – 9yo) and decided to give this place a try! They were having a trivia night in the brewery area, so it was packed and loud, but manageable. With that being said, they have an extra door into a small room where you order by the kitchen. This room had 2 bar tables and another midsized table. We chose the mid-sized tall table in the smaller room. This was much quieter and much more heated on this cold night. Something to note, I am in a wheelchair, so not only was this VERY wheelchair friendly, but the table we sat at was also wheelchair friendly. While taller, it was an accessible table. The bathrooms we also wheelchair friendly. ☺️
We ordered the Nachos, Bibimbap, Teriyaki, That’s so basic pizza, Cookie sandwich, and some glass bottle Cheerwine (SO stoked they had the glass. Perfection.)
Everything was really good. The nachos were big, covered, and tasty.
The only difference between the Bibimbap & Teriyaki bowl was the meat. So that confused us at first, but both bowls were absolutely delicious. There is just a hint of spice in the sauce, and the bowl overall tastes like deconstructed sushi! It was amazing.
The kiddos ate the pizza, but we did give it a taste. It was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was full of flavor and spices.
The cookie was 2 oatmeal style cookies (think oatmeal cream pie) they were SO soft (squish to grab a bite soft) with a whipped filling, not super sweet. They are big too and totally worth the money.
All in all, we will be back. They didn’t mind my 2 year old singing Let it Go in the echoes of the room. Customer service was top notch!

Great place to eat, some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. The crust has that chew you only really get from a real brick oven, the toppings were super tasty and layered on, and the overall flavor combo was spot on.
We paired a Here Comes The Boom pizza (Large 14″) with an order of Wachos (Waffle Fry Nachos), which was more than enough for 2 people, could easily feed 3-4. I never expected this quality of food to come from a place inside a brewery. Highly recommend grabbing a pizza here, either while you’re getting drinks or on-the-go to share with the family.

We actually came here for the pizza. I had two relatives in for a couple nights and we ventured over. I let them pick and they picked this one. We all enjoyed it. There are only two sizes….personal and this size which was approximately a 12″ with eight slices. It did not fill us up but it stopped the pains. We all enjoyed it. The crust was perfect. Slightly charred. Good undercarriage. Ample toppings. They use one of those flashing buzzers to tell you when it is ready. This place is inside The Monkey and the Goose

Place looks like a great option to hang with friends. Plenty of seating. Food smelled wonderful coming in and flavors were good.
However, I feel like price was really high for amount of food. I got the Bibimbap Bowl and it was A LOT of rice and small amounts of toppings. The protein was a very small portion size, probably just over 2oz… Carrots, cucumber, green onion, crispy onion, jalapeno, rice all cheap food. So why $13 especially when there’s hardly any protein?! Flavors are on point just make it worth the money. Also, note that the chicken is served cold. I saw that in another review so was prepared for it but honestly would be such a better dish if chicken was warm.
My teen got the Here Comes the Boom pizza, he liked it but again very little protein. So again price seems a bit high.
All in all, despite flavors being there. I wouldn’t come back due to high price and little portions of the good stuff.

If you’re looking for amazing pizza , good vibes and good drinks in Lexington Pour Folk’s is the place to go. We ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with ricotta cheese and basil for $12 and it was so so good. I could eat that every time I come. I also ordered a bibimbap bowl as a salad with plant based chicken for $13 and it was great! This is a wonderful spot to come hang out and get really tasty food as well as enjoy a drink and some entertainment since it’s inside of Goose and Monkey. Will definitely be returning.

Went 2/18/25 4:30 pm. Food good but a little pricey. Very easy to customize any order. Would like pizza to cook bit longer. Should offer fries and tater tots as well. Update returned 9/16/2025 2pm. Ordered conductor pizza and found flavor to be auto bit off. At home heating up leftover in microwave discovered why . See photos. Very off their game.Returned on 10/16/2025 7 pm. Pretzel not up to normal, butter and salt all in the box and almost none on pretzel. Pizzas(3) seem prepped well but not cooked long enough. Coming here seems a 50/50 odds of good food.

This was my first time being here. Great food. Great relaxing atmosphere. Great staff. You get the enjoyment of watching the trains go by right in front of you…. I was excited!I didn’t get a chance to taste the beer but you can also see where the beer is brewed. I definitely recommend this place. I will be returning.
