When I arrived, the display cases were mostly empty. I was told that the baker “won’t be back for a few days.” I should have left then.
It cost me $7.50 for a half dozen, day old (at least a day old, maybe more), donuts.
I chose a ricotta filled powdered donut to have with my morning coffee. The ricotta was too sweet and the pastry was bordering on inedibly stale.
I’ve been here before and had a good experience, so I will try again in the future. Next time, however, I will ask when the pastries were made before making any purchases.
I would have given a lower rating, but the employee was bright and cheerful, in spite of the early hour and dismal weather.

Awesome donuts when they’re fresh. Most days anymore they seem day old and clearly not fresh. Depends on the day you go I guess. Fresh day, 5 stars; stale day, 2 stars. Overall, 3 stars. At $18 a dozen, my wife rode her bike in the rain to get them I was excited for a delicious fresh donut with my fresh coffee I made – today is a 2 star donut day.

Tasted stale and old doughnuts!!!

We were so excited to grab doughnuts for our first weekend at the shore. They were absolutely horrible and tasted like day old doughnuts. I actually called to ask if they were day old and was told that they were fresh baked overnight. If this is the product they are selling as fresh, I will never return. I will feed them to the birds. Very disappointing to say the least. Run!

Sorry Potito’s! Your donuts were not baked the day I bought them and shouldn’t have been sold as fresh baked. The cannoli was mediocre. The raspberry crumb cake saved you though. That was delicious. Slightly disappointed. Won’t be returning anytime soon. Nothing like Ritner Street.

Had a family party on the beach Sunday. We pre-ordered two crumb cakes (one regular, one raspberry) and a tray of brownies. Ordering and pick up was super easy! Very friendly staff. The desserts were delicious and perfect for sitting in the beach. Everyone enjoyed it.

Definitely impressed the cannolis were awesome and the array of flavors is phenomenal I believe it’s 24!! I can’t wait to try the Oreo next season and the hazelnut!!!
When you buy a dozen you get a free cannoli who doesn’t love a baker’s dozen!!!

The store is old and dated (and not in the classic kind of way). They hardly carry any baked goods and what they do have is stale. Donuts are awful, cookies are blah, and the cannoli shells are not made in the store (or from another Potitos), they buy them. I’m used to old-school bakeries who make their own cannoli shells. I can go to Acme or ShopRite and get better cakes, donuts, and pastries.

I ordered a vanilla layer cake for my wife and it was entirely icing with a skinny layer of cake on the top and bottom. Honestly, this is probably one of the worst cakes I’ve ever eaten, as a store bought cake has more flavor. For the money, I expected a lot more. The establishment should consider lowering their ridiculous prices if this is the kind of lackluster product that they are going to put out. Also, their donuts are entirely overpriced and poorly made. I got a creme filled donut with absolutely no creme and it was stale on the sides. This stuff is far from fresh. Definitely a one and done type of place for me unless they rebranded to a more accurate representation of the mediocrity that they are putting out.

We purchased two of the famous cannolis. They taste stale but I’m willing to try another clean the next time I come to New Jersey. My mom bought $10 worth of danish (4). The filling was sour. That’s very weird, things are supposed to be fresh at a bakery. We were very disappointed. the ladies that were there were very nice.

I went out of my way to not get the average supermarket birthday cake for my daughter this and to spend $46 on a birthday cake at potito’s that barely anyone could eat. It was loaded with icing .. hardly any cake. Also, I would like to know has the cake recipe changed? This is nothing like the cake we have gotten in the past. But maybe I’m confusing it with the Philly location. Very disappointing.
