Lunch for 35 people, catered by Potbelly. We sent the menu to everyone on the team, they told us what they wanted and we built up the order. At the right time, we drove over and picked it up. Eight bags of sandwiches and chips! All labeled and easy to figure out what went for whom. And absolutely delicious!

I really enjoy this place, but I REALLY need them to stop screwing up my sandwiches. 2x in 1 week – am I the fool to keep going here? Granted, making it right happens fast with their manager, Jeff, who always seems engaged – which I can appreciate. But this is a sandwich shop FIRST. Can we at least get the builds right? So frustrating coming in during a busy period, not really being able to check your order while in line because it’s so hectic. Only to get to my desk 10-15 mins away and see my order is wrong. It’s just frustrating…as hell.
Another thing that bugs me is how the picture doesn’t match the build. No lettuce comes on the sandwich but it’s in the pic.

Cap. This place skibbidy slaps. The sandwich was totes toasted & the meats met my expectations. Best of all was that Bonita baked potato soup! It puts panera to shame, seriously, its nice to have a potato soup option that isn’t hospital grade gruel. This civil servant has had his appetite certifiably sated.

I went to this restaurant with my friend for lunch. After we ordered our sandwiches, the staff was asking us if we want mushroom, cheese and bacon on our sandwiches. We declined bacon but ok with mushroom and cheese. Then he asked us two more times about adding bacon. I declined the offer again. I didn’t check my bill when I paid for the meal. After I got home from work, I realized they charged me bacon on both sandwiches. I called the restaurant on the same day and talked to their manager. He told me to come in so he can take care of it. He did give me the refund after I swing by 2 days later. I did enjoy their sandwiches in the past. I didn’t understand why they keep on ask you about adding bacon but they don’t tell you it is $1.60 extra for the bacon. They also automatically add onto your bill without asking. I just don’t think it is an honest practice.

I have had Potbelly Sandwich Shop in the past, and they make good sandwiches. This was my first experience with their Sugar Cookie. As a cookie reviewer, it is my duty to put a review online.
I was given their Sugar Cookie as a thank-you gift. It was just an average sugar cookie. I much prefer sugar cookies that are soft and gooey; this was very crumbly and dried out. I am not sure that I believe that it was baked fresh since it cracked on its own from being dried out. The edges of this Sugar Cookie were the best part. Also, there was too much granulated sugar on top.
I wish this place was close to the River so that I could try their sandwich more often!

I can’t speak to the negative experiences that others may have had here. They seem misplaced and unfounded. However, I went here for the first time ever yesterday and I was beyond impressed. The food was incredible. The ingredients were fresh and the atmosphere was right up my alley. This location has an interesting vintage feel. The cooks were very friendly and the service was fast. If I were the owner of this location, I would be extremely proud of my team, brand and food! 100/100. I will be back today at opening for more! Count on it!

if you had chiabata bread as an option for all sandwhiches you could probably increase your profits

They have some of the most friendly and the best workers in the Clayton area hands down to any restaurant in this area. I give chick fil la a great stand and they are above them. It doesn’t matter which person you deal with, the men or the women. I keep telling everyone I work with about potbelly and alot of them go there now also. Please tell them all to keep up the magnificent work. Thank you

greeted instantly when I came in with warm welcomes, but what really matters is this food. I sat there with a huge smiles for hours after this. anyone having a bad day should have to eat at this place. I had the chicken club with the hot peppers and chili, I will be back. my only thing is I wish they were open past 4, this would’ve been lunch and dinner. great place absolutely MUST eat
