First time at this location. After we ordered, we went to use the restroom. It had clearly not been cleaned in quite some time. The toilets were filthy as well as the counters and floors. Went back out to fill up our beverages atand the side of the machine was crusty. None of the tables were clean either. One upside is friendly staff who wiped the table after I asked so we could sit down. My daughter went to eat her sandwich, and there was something brown in it that no one could identify. After seeing the lack of cleanliness inside the restaurant, paired with the mystery substance on my daughter’s sandwich; my family didn’t want to eat there. We left and ended up tossing our food. We won’t be back.

I would like to share a review based on my recent experience at the Potbelly location in Maple Grove. The sandwiches were excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. However, I am writing primarily to recognize an outstanding employee named Connor, who I believe may be one of the managers.
On Sunday, December 21st, I stopped by this location to order sandwiches for my husband and myself. While placing my order, I informed the staff member assisting me that I have a sesame allergy. The employee immediately involved Connor, who took the time to carefully explain which breads and menu items contained sesame. I truly appreciated his attentiveness and professionalism.
Afterward, while my order was being prepared, Connor returned to ask about the severity of my allergy. When I explained that it was very severe, he immediately instructed the team to discard the sandwich that was in progress. He ensured that all utensils and gloves were changed before starting over, and he personally oversaw the preparation of my sandwiches to make certain there was no risk of cross-contamination
I am extremely grateful for Connor’s diligence and care. My sesame allergy is life-threatening, and I did not have any medication with me at the time, as I had not planned on eating out. Connor’s actions very likely prevented a medical emergency. While some may view this as routine, it meant a great deal to me, as he went well above and beyond what was required after already explaining the menu options.
Thank you, Connor, for being such a compassionate and dedicated employee. Potbelly is fortunate to have someone like you on their team.

I am a vegetarian and had asked the sandwich expert to change gloves as to not have cross contamination. She was more than understanding!
She not only changed her gloves, but cleaned her work station and washed her hands! I was so grateful! I highly recommend THIS potbelly’s!! Great establishment and customer service!

The Veggie Melt was strong with the Force—mushrooms, provolone, and a toasty crunch worthy of a council seat. I added lettuce, tomatoes, and hot peppers… perhaps too hot. Even Master Yoda would’ve needed a cold brew after those.
Fresh toppings, loads of vegetarian options, and a sandwich game that’s well trained. Bonus points for the mighty Zapp’s chips and the customizable “Works” feature.

I was very disappointed last night. I went around 5pm and it wasn’t to busy actually. I have been going here for years. I don’t know if the staff was new or what, but the gal who started my sandwich even recognized me asking “Do you want the mushrooms too.” I was next then it picked up so I was happy I got in when I did. Not sure what the issue was but, I belive it was new management last night trying to help out. I wanted there for 10mins usually the practice is way more efficient. They burn a sandwich and for behind mine were piling up and they fixed a gurst salad behind me and he got out quick. I am a regular patron. I had to walk out I was VERY shocked and unhappy

I just want to recap the horrible experience and customer service from this weakened, on basically 350.00 worth of orders.
1) Order places on Saturday for 11:15 delivery shows up at 10:45, so it sits on the table for a half hour until the 11:15 break when people can eat.
2) The person who ordered just a double cheese grilled cheese with no toppings took one bite and started chocking and could not breathe, if someone did not have an epi pen they probably would have died, because the sandwich was just loaded with chicken which they are deathly allergic to.
3) I tried to contact the store for over 24 hours and just kept getting the message my call call can not go through as dialed, I had 5 different people try from diofferent phones and locations and nobody could get ahold of anyone at the store.
4) I had no idea if my order for Sunday was even going to go through since I had no contact and did not know if there was an issue at the store, so I had all the trepidation and had to decide if I had to make an order with an alternate place to make sure people got their lunch on Sunday.
5) Someone from the store called Sunday morning, I thought to address my concerns, but all they called for was to add additional ones to the pile, they said everyone that ordered the potato soup is SOL, because we don’t have it anymore.
6) When I told her about all the issues from the order from the day before and someone almost died, she said I’ll tell my boss and have them call you back right away, nobody ever called me back and when I returned the call to the number she called me from, just got voice mail and I left a message someone needs to call me back on this as soon as possible, 9 hours later and still no call.
7) In a totally unbelievable addition to this fiasco the apple walnut salad the same person ordered who almost died the day before because of the chicken that was added to their grilled cheese had chicken in their apple walnut salad even though the order and the sticker on the bowl cover said no chicken. At least she saw the chicken this time and could throw it away before taking a bite, but she did not get to eat her lunch either day.
So in summary, order delivers a half hour early, everything cold before anyone could eat, same person almost killed twice because they put chicken on two items she ordered that should never have chicken on them, not able to contact store for the entire weekend, when someone did call me, just added more issues to the pile and promised the manager would call as soon as possible to address concerns and nobody ever called and when I called that number back they did not answer and did not respond to my e-mail. I think it would be almost impossible for anyone to top this customer service fiasco and total lack of responsibility and even acknowledging a phone call back. I guess they are lucky that person did not die, because then it would not be me trying to contact them and they probably could not just brush it off and ignore me.

Potbelly does good sandwiches. We got the chicken salad, turkey avocado and chicken club. Turkey avocado and chicken club were both good. Chicken salad was bland and watery, made bread soggy almost immediately and we ate it right away in the store. Lots of toppings you can add to personalize your sandwich. Inside is nice and casual though a little music playing overhead would be nice, its awkwardly quiet otherwise.

Not a good experience at all whatsoever. Waited over an hour for my sandwiches. When I got home with the sandwiches it was the wrong sandwich sizes for the sandwiches that I ordered. They did it backwards. The prime rib sandwich that I ordered which supposed to be big was missing ingredients. It was missing the caramelized onions and the garlic aioli sauce. Really quite a bummer and a disappointment.

Potbelly’s has some great food. I enjoy the ambience and typically the employees at this location are pretty fun. The shakes are Phenomenal. I really like the Oreo cookies and cream shake. I would order off the secret menu – I highly recommend the Sicilian sandwich. It is the best one there. Prices are a little higher than Subway and Jimmy John’s, but the food is tasty. They do have outdoor seating in the summers, too. They will often have some live musicians playing at this location too.
