I came all the way from Houston just to try this place and it was incrdeible!!! I did a deep dive on Lucky19 and sampled all the beer and settled on a hot honey beer with the buffalo wing baked potato. It was perfect!! I will be back!

Great little place close to SHSU Campus.
I had the bacon cheese Shack Burger. The bun was fresh perfectly toasted. The bacon crisp and tasty and the burger patty was juicy.

Drove to this place from Houston because it was recommended to me, and we dined in. The lady who took our order was not the friendliest, but she was not rude either. The table where we sat could have used more cleaning/wiping. The food was excellent, I had the hot wing baked potato, fried pickles, and the funnel cake fries, all of them delicious. Definitely will drive back eventually for another hot wing potato.

Solid choice every time I go there, I get the same experience. A little pricey for what it is, but you’re paying for consistently good service and product.
I recommend the Texas Philly potato. It’s a staple.
I wish we could do something about the short tables and the loud chairs. The tables have 2×6 around the bottom that could really use a trim to allow a someone to actually sit up against the table. 2×4 would have probably done it.
The chairs are lightweight but when they drag across the floor it is loud in that echo chamber…

It was our first time visiting The Potao Shack!
We stopped in after Church & it was a great decision.
We have to say the food was great!
and the customer service was top notch that we received from Marissa & Chiron.
They both greeted us with a smile & had amazing customer service.
I stopped at the front as we were leaving to let Marissa know that I would be doing a review however its 2 weeks later but better late than never. Thanks for the amazing service & good food.

My wife loved it, I kind of liked it. Easy parking and plenty of it. I ordered the Spicy BBQ Chicken Potato and it came with a ton of onions, I remember next time to cut the onions. It had way too much BBQ sauce for my preference and with the cheese and chicken bites it was just a mushy mess. I like potatoes and my wife likes the toppings so…she got the BBQ Link potato and loved it. My daughter got the original potato and didn’t care for it but said it tasted good…she said she didn’t like the texture of the cheese but she’s 14 so, anyone’s guess as to why I’ve never heard that one before but tonight it was a thing. The game was on and they have tvs here and there…small flat screens and the volume up for the game as well as music playing and I guess I’m getting old because I didn’t care for both on at the same time. It wasn’t my favorite spot but I’ll give it another go and try to remember to say no to the onions and sauce on the side

First time coming, the server Brooklyn, she was very kind and made suggestions being our first time coming, food was good, FUNNEL CAKE FRIES ARE TO DIE FOR! Cheap soap in bathroom also needs a new door and a good cleaning, men’s restroom needs repair, overall it wasn’t a bad experience despite a few technical difficulties involving a breaker and a warmer.. ❤️ thanks for making it right! I had the teriyaki chicken potato the first visit. It was great! The second visit, I tried the southwest chicken potato. It was almost flavourless in that the word southwest was missing. A can of corn and avocado with some plain diced tomatoes does not Southwest make. Had to add a lot of pepper! Ugh! In saying that, I am game to try something else next visit. So much on the menu, there will be a next time!
