We come to this fries spot almost every time we visit the Americana. It used to be Potato Corner, and we’ve always come here specifically for the flavored fries. That’s the whole point.

Today was the second time I received fries that tasted like no seasoning was added at all. I ordered sour cream, but what I got was basically plain fries. If I wanted unflavored fries, I could have just gone to McDonald’s.

I went back to the counter and politely asked if they could add a little more seasoning. The manager told me it was their policy not to take any food back once it had been handed to the customer, and that I would need to pay 50 cents for extra powder. I agreed and paid. But after I paid, they suddenly took my fries back to add the seasoning. That was confusing because I was just told they couldn’t take the food back. I assumed they would give me the extra powder in a small container on the side.

What really bothered me was the manager’s attitude. Instead of apologizing for the issue or trying to help, he came across as rude and dismissive, and focused on repeating the policy. Then he didn’t even follow the same policy after I paid, which made the whole interaction feel inconsistent and frustrating. To make things worse, some of the staff were even laughing during the situation, which made the experience feel even more disrespectful.

This place could really benefit from better customer service training. A little courtesy and consistency would make a big difference.

The different flavors of fries just hit different. They are super tasty and cause a flavor explosion in your mouth. Their chicken wings are decent too. A nice spot to go to after walking around the Americana for a snack. Nice and simple fast food. Make sure to enjoy while it is hot.

There is hardly any Potato Corner locations in LA Metropolitan area, so when we saw this location, we came out here for a nice quick bite. We had Spicy BBQ Loopy fries with the chicken tenders, and Garlic and Parmesan Loopy fries with tenders as well. The chicken is amazing, and the fries weren’t bad but maybe we will try different flavors next time. It would be nice if they had a Cajun flavor or regular seasoned salt, though. But no complaints, but for a place called Potato Corner, the star of the show was definitely the chicken. Nice and hot, and REALLY crunchy!

The food quality at this specific location has gone down drastically, maybe different owners? Back then the fries were fully seasoned that I would come twice a day because of how delicious they were! Now The fries aren’t seasoned enough, you order BBQ fries & you get fries that taste like regular fries with just a HINT of BBQ :’) & you can’t ask for “extra powder” because they have a paper taped to the window saying “No Extra Powder” soo…there’s that

There’s days where the fries are fresh & crisp & then there’s others where they are soggy & cold…

Hopefully their prep standards go up…until then I’ll travel to Santa Anita’s potato corner.

The worker didn’t want to get my order because of the personal conflict with one of my friends. So I do not suggest to go there, the worker has some mental and personal problems. I would rate a negative number but I just put 1 star because I cant put less than that.

Potato Corner is the best flavored fries at the best location! Sometimes this is our only reason to visit Americana.

I had a worst experience with the owner. They will put not enought seasoning. They will do it on purpose so you’ll have to pay for extra money for seasoning.

Please bring back the old Potato Corner and the original staff—this new setup just isn’t it. The experience has gone downhill. The cashier was fine, but the girl who handed me my food was incredibly rude. Seriously, someone needs to address her attitude. It’s disappointing to see how much the service has changed.

I occasionally stop by Potato Corner at the Americana, usually about once or twice every two months, for a quick bite. I’m not a regular customer, so the staff doesn’t recognize me. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing every time I’ve visited.

While I’m not a big fan of wings or chicken tenders, I do enjoy the food from Potato Corner. However, the lack of customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff, who seem to be fresh out of high school, never acknowledge me when I pick up my order. They simply hand it over without so much as a “thank you,” even when I make the effort to thank them first.

It’s clear that the young employees lack the work ethic and customer service skills necessary for this job. It’s frustrating as a customer to be treated with indifference, especially when all I’m doing is ordering food. A little politeness and appreciation can go a long way, but unfortunately, that’s been missing every time I’ve visited.
