Tonight we were craving some hot, delicious gumbo and got neither from Pot & Paddle. It was very under seasoned with extrmely light roux and COLD! Very disappointing since it’s suppose to be award winning. Definitely not worth the 5 min drive or the $40 spent!!!

Pastalaya was cold and the place smelled strongly of a chemical cleaner. Employees stayed in the back. They were out of several items at 5:30 dinner rush time. Place looks unkempt. Also pastalaya had one piece of chicken and way to much sausage. I probably won’t go back as this isn’t the first time this location has disappointed us.

The gumbo did not taste like gumbo it tasted like a soup, no spice. The Jambalaya was full of meat, but does not taste anthing like Louisiana food. I would not recommend if your used to real Louisiana Gumbo and Jambalaya with the spicy and rich flavors. Go somewhere else. Unless they were just having a off day. I hardly touched my food. The corn tasted like it came from a can and had very little seasoning. My husband will usually eat anything and he didn’t like his food. Jambalaya he ate some of rice and then picked out the meat.

The staff was kind and knowledgeable. Each of the dishes was lightly spiced if it all. I’ve had better jambalaya as well as red rice and beans at other places in Louisiana. This version seemed to me made for the foreign masses.

Great food! Been picking up food here for years. The pork jambalaya and pork roast in roux gravy are both fantastic. We also love the white beans and potato salad. This is the only place I’ll order potato salad or jambalaya from. Plenty of meat in the jambalaya. Food is consistently great – like home cooked and. We usually call order in a day or two ahead. It’s always ready on time, no matter how big or small our order is.
