Very nice hometown diner. Good country cooking and great sweet tea! I had the fried porkchop, fresh collards, fried okra, and butter peas. The wifey git a veggie plate. It was all good and the wait staff were delightful. Came in hungry, left fulfilled. Definitely coming back.

First trip but, I will be back . Three great meals. I had eggs with grits and country ham . A friend had the bacon omelet! Another had a bowl of grits with sausage. Highly recommend! Don’t miss this local treat !

I used to love this place but this is the second time we’ve been turned away getting there right before closing time. Jackie is absolutely wonderful and has been working there since I was a child and is always trying to accommodate. Buy the waitress that was there when we walked in got very snippy with us, wanting to know if we had already ordered, and making comments about us barely making it before they close. It was 1:25 and they technically close at 1:30, but the open light is always on until 1:30 and it is so everyone is done eating by 2:00. Before anyone thinks this is rude on my part to expect to walk in at 1:25 and be served, I wanted to explain that. They were out of most of their lunch sides and we were willing to take substitution of french fries only to then get an attitude from the kitchen that they had already turned the fryer off and were cleaning it! So while I love the food and have loved the food since I was a child, I will never be going back again at this point.

Came here for breakfast with my little ones and it is absolutely our new go to for breakfast! Great portions for a great price, food is great, everyone is so nice!! They even offered toys for my 3 year old while he was waiting for his food!!

Arrived in time for closing time, but waitress advised it was fine. ( Didn’t notice if posted times on door.) They close after lunch & we went there because few other non- chain restaurants were open on Mondays. Ordered two chicken salad sandwiches. Only choice in breads were white or wheat. No rye. Arrived with chips & the chicken salad was more like a very… moderate spread, nothing special, over basic white bread; which if the toaster kissed it for 20 seconds, was a lot. No tomato or lettice. There was so little chicken salad on the bread, my husband mentioned that fact to the waitress & asked if he could have a bit more. That’s what he was given in a little bowl. The plain iced tea was fine. Staff was pleasant enough, but wouldn’t say we would be inclined to return.

The food was good, as was the service. I had a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit and a small bowl of gravy with water to drink. Not very happy at all to pay $8.00 for that small meal. First time eating there and will be my last time.
